the server is beyond repair because the economy is completely broken. i don't see how you can fix this? you can either arbitrarily remove x amount of money and items from the server and risk to break it even more or you can start from scratch. that's the only options i can see. any other trump cards up your sleeves?

Whatever you think "broke the economy" would just end up happening again with a new server, given enough time. Not to mention most people wouldn't tolerate another restart so soon, maybe you can ask again after 5 years when the playerbase might accept it and not just quit after it happened, also we should have everything that could mess up the economy sorted out by then.

Right now though we just don't have enough people trading and the horrible balance causes everyone to go after the same few weapons, leading to a scarcity and high value of those weapons and their parts. After the balance work is complete, we'll have way more population which means more trade, plus every rare weapon should be a viable choice so we'll see the prices even out.

If you're just talking about inflation in general, well like I said before, that would just happen again on a new server. There would be no point making one before fixing the causes of inflation.

How is the economy broken exactly? From what i've seen prices are reasonable and compare well to what they were before everyone cried about a broken economy, especially if you look at the price per unressed tech of ~50k at the moment it's very stabile.

But maybe you want to mail exploits@neocron-game.com if you think there's some mumbo jumbo at work destroying the game economy.
Poke me baby, one more time!

[Edited] the destructiveness for the economy comes from the fact that they can buy everything without an afterthought even the most expensive items AND all rare parts on the market. this is basically money laundering. many hapless farmers just hand over their hard earned rare parts for basically thin air. this is not normal inflation. that's the kind of inflation that drives most people out of the market and either do not take part in trading at all or only trade in rares and parts. ofc this only shifts the problem and when people realize this, they will lose interest in the market altogether.

fact of the matter is, that some people just sit on thousands and thousands of parts. i guess that most of those people are in clans and just maintain the clan rare pool. looking for a cs? 30m please... or join a clan. they will hand it out for free. they basically removed themselves from the economy and play their own game which is pvp only.

how do you think -sl players can afford losing items that are worth millions on an hourly basis? money is worth nothing to some people in this game, while it's getting more and more difficult for new players to get some of the more viable weapons without joining a clan.

mmos generally have an inflation problem and yes, in the long run this will happen anyway. that's why money sinks are introduced, but in the long run isn't supposed to be 1 year after a server reset.

So you mad cos people set up efficient rare pool systems with clan mates and don't trade?

That's a player choice, not a bad game mechanic. The game is at a point where some parts are coveted and people are clinging onto them, because there's only a few sets of parts worth trading, and that's not an economy issue, that's an issue of balance.

Haha, i just have 2 people on my ignore list since not so long.. glad to see those people still make very stupid comments and replies. Lucky I have a easy time controlling myself from replying now I can't read them directly.

    Anyway ontopic.

Thanks for the great job guys! anybody who is complaining that they can't play a free game should just stfu in my humble opinion. These people are paying the servers and everything with their own cash to let us play a game. who are we to bitch on them.

I'd guess Enti and Arista Barret, although the latter is now banned.
