    Default T#228-236 - Patch notes (Implants and armour balancing)

    To get onto the test server please read the following thread.

    KEY BINDING CHANGED!
    Please reassign your keys. In the key options click DEFAULT and from there start assigning your wished key bindings again. If you do not reassign your keys, formerly ALT+[KEY] combination will work on [KEY] only!


    Armour and implant balance

    This test patch is the 1st round of changes armour and implant for the next stage of balancing. The balance team would like players to test the implant and armour changes on the test server and provide any feedback and comments.

    The testing that that balance team would like feedback and comments on:-

    • PvP testing while buffed for possible weapons being too weak or strong.
    • Please test with different damage types which may be too weak or strong.


    Balance changes - armour

    PE Power armour
    • Heavy Combat Power armour:
      - Strength requirement reduced by 10 for all levels
    • Pistol & Rifle Camo Power armour:
      - Athletics malus reduced to 11
    • Regant PM Power armour:
      - Added + 14 H-C subskill


    Spy Power armour

    • Pistol and Rifle Power armour:
      - Endurance malus removed
      - Energy resists added (from +22 to +32)
    • Holo Vest:
      - Now gives +16 Endurance
      - Agility bonus reduced to +11
      - Energy resists reduced to +43


    GenTank Power armour

    • Melee & Heavy Power armour:
      - Agility malus halved
      - Class requirements removed
    • Melee & Heavy Camo Power armour:
      - Athletics malus reduced to -7 for MC and -13 for HC
      - Fire resist raised to 60
    • WoC Melee and Heavy Power armour:
      - Athletics malus reduced to -11, -13 for HC; -6, -7 for MC


    Monk Power armour
    • APU Power armour:
      - Athletics/Agility malus halved
      - PPU malus is now APU bonus -2
      - APU subskill requirements raised by 10
    • PPU Power armour:
      - Athletics/Agility malus halved
      - APU malus is now PPU bonus -2
      - PPU subskill requirements raised by 10


    Underwear

    • Carbonsilk:
      - Fire resist malus reduced to -9, -11, -13
    • Fesilicon:
      - Athletics malus reduced to -6, -8, -10
    • Krokydolith:
      - Intelligence requirements reduced by 6 for all levels
      - Athletics malus reduced to -5, -7, -9
    • Ionic Nylon:
      - Intelligence requirements reduced by 11 for all levels
      - Piercing resists raised to +17, +22, +30


    Body armour

    • Battle armour:
      - Strength requirements and TL reduced by 4 for all levels
      - Added fire resists from +14 to +23
    • Carbon armour:
      - Strength requirements and TL reduced by 6 for all levels
      - Poison resists doubled
      - Piercing and Force resists reduced by ~20%
    • Inquisition armour:
      - Strength requirements and TL reduced by 5 for all levels
    • Spirit and blessed Spirit armour:
      - Added fire resists from +12 to +17

    Brain Implants
    • Special Forces CPU:
      - Dexterity requirement reduced by 5
    • Special SWAT CPU:
      - Dexterity requirement reduced by 5
    • Special Rigger CPU:
      - Dexterity requirement reduced by 5
    • MC5 Close Combat Projector:
      - Dexterity requirement reduced by 5
    • MC5 Distance Projector:
      - Dexterity requirement reduced by 5
    • MC5 Riggers Dream:
      - Dexterity requirement reduced by 5
    • MC5 Hercules CPU:
      - Strength requirement reduced by 15
      - M-C bonus raised to +15

    • DoY Eyes:
      - All subskills doubled


    Heart Implants

    • Experimental Heart:
      - Endurance bonus raised to +10, +16
      - Athletics malus removed
      - Agility malus increased to -3, -5
    • Advanced Heart:
      - Constitution requirement reduced by 3 for all levels
      - Athletics malus reduced to -1, -3
      - Added Body Health bonus from 5 to 9
    • Filter Heart:
      - X-Ray resists raised to +7, +14
      - Body Health malus removed


    Gloves

    • Gaya:
      - PSI requirement reduced by 10
      - Added Focusing (FCS) bonus of +22
    • CAG:
      - Added Psi Power bonus from +12 to +22
    • Tradeskill Gloves (all):
      - Mainskill requirement reduced by 5
      - Mainskill bonus is now +3
      - Tradeskill bonus is now +28

    Balance changes - Weapons

    Passive PSI Modules
    • Blessed Heal:
      - Requirements reduced to TL 44
    • Absorber:
      - Requirements reduced to TL 21


    Fixes

    • The buff timer animations work again
    • The numbers in the Armour Interface (F4) are now matching the numbers on the item info again (#230)
    • The furniture placing deactivates the preview now properly and increases the free load. (#230)
    • CPU was busy on some Systems or Situations (i.e. inactive client at Fullscreen) leading to an arbitrary high CPU usage (#231)
    • Additional fixes for crashes in DoY Sector 3 (#232-235)
    • Additional changes done to Faction warzones - further details will be released in a future patch (#232-235)
    • Fixed "Configure Hardware" button from the launcher was not responding.
    • Fixed game crash on exiting the game [#231]


    Known issues

    • Please report, if you know of any remaining issue with the recent patches.

    Looking at the NSKill 2 files and updated the Power Armour so far to the above values.

    Regant PM Power armour isn't on the list.
    PE Heavy Combat isn't on the list.

    I'll add those values once I can get onto test.

    Essentially, it'll be a case of going through all the items individually to make sure they're correct, then I'll host the files once they're updated so that people can update their NSkill.

    I've been meaning to type up a post for this patch, but I've been so obsessed with trying new builds that I haven't really finished playing with it yet. PEs with PSI and STR are so fun to tweak that its just a huge playground for people like me who like making builds. I can't wait for this patch. Nothing seems terribly overpowered or broken so far. Marine CPU and MOVEON are fixed. We're moving in the right direction and I love it.

    Since the last version was updated in 2014, it probably need someone to go through and check EVERYTHING. That's convenient to do in the testserver's Constructor Room - but it's a time consuming process.

    Whilst at it - I'm going to have a tweak with the interface as well. Never did like the graphics on the Spy and PE pages

    I would check in-game but... the PTS had a ton of corrupt/misssing files and won't launch now.

    "PPU malus is now APU bonus -2" : Just as APU malus, does this mean the new malus is 2 less than the bonus to it's counterpart?...

    Say 26 APU then -24 PPU? Just checking so I know what I need to adjust later on, unless it's already on a new version of nskill.

    Disclaimer: I've been testing a CRM system the whole day, so I'm a bit on edge concerning shitty GUI's.

    Now I have the new launcher downloading shit again....

    The new launcher sucks.

    The drop down is designed shitty (for fucks sake it's a third the space necessary for the text inside AND ITS AS BLACK AS THE BACKGROUND I CAN'T SEE WHAT I SELECTED WITHOUT CLICKING INTO IT, THIS IS GUI 101!), it doesn't tell you which server you're looking at and the download dialog is meaningless.

    2.3.212.0 package? was i that supposed to mean? And wtf does Version 11 and Language International mean.

    Also Side scrolling (Which moron thought of a side scrolling news window...) news with O-GOD T199 as the newest release?

    Sorry but forcing me to use this abomination makes my blood boil.

    Make this shit ready for usage befor deploying it. Also I already installed the fucking game and don't want to reinstall it.

    Wheres the Scan Option for existing installations?

I've move out the posts with the issues on corrupted files to a closed bug report thread - since these issues should now be resolved with the new launcher.

    @Odimara Orca and anyone with feedback on the launcher, please give feedback in the new launcher feedback thread.

    I changed nothing and suddenly I can login to the PTS? nice yeah right

    But no characters and transfer page not working?

    You still gotta work on that Testing experience guys..
