Synchronizing bug 9 times out of 10 I log in... help!

The title says it all, literally 9 times out of 10 that I try to log in any character, I'm stuck at synch, no inventory but can hear chat.

It took me a record 15 tries to log in my droner today.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this bug because it's getting just silly. It's becoming an endurance test just to get in game and have fun.

running in compatibility and as admin mode, which os?

Not installed to the C:\Program files directory so I don't have to use admin mode, not running in compatibility mode. Running Windows Vista 32-bit.

I had this problem before. It was either a connection issue or a ram issue. Try closing background processes and make sure nothing is clogging up the tubes.

I have six gigs of RAM, how can I check if it's enough free?

Do you use the Launcher and the updater.ini ist not write-protected?

I use the launcher, and no updater is not write-protected, should it be?

Try changing your "localport" in the launcher config or the .ini, what flib said, sounds like something is trying to use the same port as NC...

I assume your not running two clients..
