Leveling/Exploring Neocron together

With all those new and fresh knocking at the door, how about showing them Neocron? How about going leveling and exploring together, just for the fun of it. Instead of running the one millionst time through Regant's Legacy, let's explore other sectors, for example let's hunt down all those freaking out copbots inside the Gaya mines or have a go at hoverbots or maybe even clean the mc5 sector of all those troopers. This is in no way ment to level as fast as possible or to get as much loot as possible, it is ment to have as much fun together as possible!

Dear PvPers, you are welcomed to join us to peacfully level together. However I beg you not to disturb these leveling events/groups. People might be pretty fast pissed off. Nevertheless, how about doing some cage fights before leveling or afterwards, just to introduce our newbies/returning vets to the PvP in Neocron. I would volunteer to rezz people so we can fight the whole night!

In case there are enough people interested in this, tell me, in that case I will start organizing it.

Very good idea. But it definately would be best to have someone with a high level/capped ppu (with LE) join in. And if thats not possible, take Mokoi's offer of assistance. Actually, probably do that anyways. Hell, maybe they will even do some fun stuff with you Guys - like mob spawns and stuff like that.

I know that the GMs just LOVE to spawn mobs.. Even when you have in-Clan Group fight practice... Okay, I really should let that one go - it was ages ago, but damn that was mean! lol

I'll maybe lom my monk and sort her out to do some PPUing She does not have an LE in though and she will probably be too high lvl to team, humm maybe I'll reroll an un used character slot, I just have no idea what class I'd want to make but I'm actually thinking of lvling a pistol spy hardcore mode and get it to be able to drive an APC, yeah that could be usefull for transporting everyone around.

Anyway give littleterror an ingame mail, I have other trade skilling characters to build lvling weapons etc.

/edit in fact mail ingame LiL T that's my constructor, so if you need any weapons built for new runners give me a list and with my barter and resser I'll see what I can do.

I got a non-LE PPU, so at least for non-LE groups, we already have a PPU. I have to have a look through my chars whether I still have an LEed monk available. Having a ride available for the people would be awesome!

Hahah I can imagine, yeah I remember the first time I exited the gates of neocron and was totally like WTF that bat is gonna kill me and then I fell down a hill and died and dropped a flash light, this was the days of beta when there was no quickbelt when a person died so I saw my beloved flashlight on the ground at the bottom of a steep hill, Fun times.

Any of the older players are welcome to help setup a foundation for new players, we will teach everything there is to know about neocron to new players, we will provided assistance in the form of researching store bought junk and make top quality lvling weapons and also provide armor and implants at no cost to the new players, providing we get those items back to be used again for the next newbie. This will limit the amount of work needed for making new armour and weapons for every new player that asks for our assistance , while it is possible to give every new player gear for them to keep it would take up a lot of time and so that would not work.

I also want to provide a forum or a way to enable new players to find people to lvl with and also members of this group will provide lvling support such as a ppu or just be there to level with the new players as originally suggested by r2d22k

I've thought a bit about this idea and I like it a lot, I have it in my mind that new players can join into a channel such as a forum or even voice like vent or mumble to form into a recognised group of players, then we give them all they need to actually achieve soft cap, soft cap meaning not WOC.

I've come up with a plan, every player in this group will get all the tools and weapons to lvl at no cost and be upgraded every 10 lvls in their main stat, however they must give their old gear back at each time they are reviewed, every 10 lvls of dex as an example for a rifle spy. That ensures that all the gear we build is reused and prevents a total cluster fuck of older players having to BP and construct hundreds of items.

Also a clan would never work, forcing people to remove their LE at such a low level is irresponsible practise, however in the future if it works and we can provide protection then we can actually build a Neocron school clan, that not only teaches people to level but how to pvp and take outposts.

You're taking away a huge part of the experience of playing an mmo by handing everything to them on a silver platter, neocron is supposed to be a post-apocolypic world of strife and struggle. Sure level with them and explain things but don't take away any sense of accomplishment from them.

And I can guarantee you won't be able to put me in my place, if you plan to baby them... you will make them and yourself a target, for me at least

No its not working, have you seen other games today? Most of the time people will only continue playing them if they get some form of help because the ingame help is a joke, most people would leave this game the first freaken day because most of us NC players are jerks who would enjoy one shotting them for the lulz.

All I'm suggesting is that we the older players welcome new players with open arms till they at least reach cap and reaching cap these days is only half way...

I'm not gonna take anything away from them, what got you to think that? Is it the fact I'll build them weapons and stuff? Shit dude all I'd be doing there is taking away the long wait one experiences due to low server pops, obviously once the game gets up to high pops I'd suggest stopping this practise. I just want new blood, new people to actually stick with it and not feel alienated and hopeless because their are a lot of players currently who only log in to hurl abuse at each other and thats fine its neocron after all. But for the new potential player and potential subscriber its not a good image.

But yea, shooting someone who cant even shoot back is very boring imo.
I'd rather help them out with tips and "tricks" so that I at a later time, can destroy them while they CAN shoot back!

People stopped playing this game due to bugs, hackers wreaking the econemy, lack of updates/events/communication and general miss-management. Not because of the community or play style, from my experience.
