Well, thinking about it more, it would make sense that they would implement it so that other people can man guns on a massive ship, at least for the homage to Neocron's vehicle gunning system.

There is a patch coming out and KK have announced it. It's not called evo 2.3 it's called Black Prophecy. Really drastic changes from what I've seen.
