FYI: Dark Matter isn't the only thing they're looking for. Also, just because they might not find it doesn't make the entire thing pointless. The experiment will be beneficial to science either way.

Never said it was pointless. There are plenty of things they can do with it, like figuring out why there's more matter than anti-matter in the universe when it started 50/50. I just don't like dark matter.

They said in the paper this morning that it could work out some way to cure Cancer how the fuck is 2 beams of light traveling at 100 mph going to result in a cure lol

If it helps us understand the universe at a fundamental level, proven experimentally rather than theoretically then it could spell the beginning of an entirely new era of physics. After that, anything could happen.

Also it could be used as a new probe to see what is happening, its only once you get to very high energies that you can see what is occurring in cells, on a small scale.
