Space: Elite/Frontier (yes, i'm very, very old),

I forgot this one ! I LOVE this game ! however it seems Elite 4 developpment is very stalled :S

1.Final Fantasy, the first one, the game that turned me into the total nerd I am today.

2.Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess was also exceptional.

3.Final Fantasy 7, to this date its the most epic RPG I've ever played.

4.Final Fantasy Tactics/Tactics Ogre, best SRPGs ever.

5.Neocron...its like heroin

6.Mario Bros. 3

7. Duck Hunt ftw!

8.Counter Strike: Source

9.Diablo II, really my first kind of online multiplayer game

Test Drive Unlimited - its really unlimited, never played such a good racing game

omg, i nearly forgot: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. the game just rules (well most i like is the ultra atmosphere and the awesome lvl-design)


looking forward to Fallout 3, and i hope MS/FASA will get their asses up to shadowrun: the mmorpg.

But im sceptic about Fallout 3 in the hands of bethesda.

I expected more System Shock fans ^^ I saw two or three of us... I like this game more than deus ex because S.S is very Sci-Fi/Space/electronic/Scientific , disturbing, a wonderful audio ambiance, vast big maps, a lot of different items, a lot of psi spell, weapons and weapon ammo A great difficult game (I found myself completly lost many many times in the ship with absolutly no ammo, and then you can feel the fear ).

No shit, have you ever noticed how many (unintended) small similarities these games have ? Easy when you know NS has got so many RPG's characteristics you don't see in every FPS, like the influence of armour, teleporting, healing, and XP points (CO maps)... but, for example :

- Short names : "NC" vs "NS" (I know, what a cheap comparison )
- Release dates (sept/nov 2002)
- Science Fiction environments and backgrounds
- "Hybridness" (mmo-fps vs rts-fps)
- Mainly focussed on teamplay, scores being secondary or inexistant
- Teammates yelling for Heal ^^
- Medpacks / Medikits
- PE's heal and Fade's metabolize (NS Fades are definitely NC PE's)
- Onos stomp and Holy Para
- Gorges / Tradeskillers
- Gestation and Synaptic Impairement
- Catalyst / Drugs
- Energy bar / Stamina
- Scan, obs and Holy True sight sanctum to flush out stealthers
- Heavy armors / Tank PAs look and feel
- Phasegates and MCs / Genreps
- Distress beacon, IPs and hives / Outpost UG's
- Armory / Gog
- Xenocide / Kami drones
- Primal Scream / Boosters
- Umbra / Deflector
- Chambers bonuses and OP's bonuses
- Ressource Towers income / OP's income (when it used to work ahem)
- Turrets
- Welders / Remote repair tool
- Companies "Unknown Worlds" / "Building Better Worlds" (which is a clear reference to Aliens movie in both cases)
- Small teams, small budgets... great concept
- Pain Easer (Lmg), Terminator (Shotty), Gatling canon (Hmg), Melee (Knife and all aliens classes), Wyatt Earp, Aoe (gas, acid, bile, grenade launcher) ; NC has almost any kind of weapon you could dream of anyway though, so I admit that's a cheap comparison too...
- New Age soundtrack
- Addicted small and steady communities
- Exploiters... (*cough*)
- Postponing
