Alright, the internet archive WaybackMachine has archived over 30+ billion web pages
from 1996 to 1993 with hundreds of terabytes of data.

Now what to look back on.... well.. neocron!!!

Be sure to have some free time before you get into this, there's so much stuff
you can go through from the past in the archived neocron pages, it's great. I
enjoy reading the forum posts from 1999-2000-2001..

You'll be surprised and humored by the stuff you encounter, if you start from
the beginning Like i will be doing below, you'll slowly see neocron.com evolve.
Veterans of this game will enjoy seeing past content as well as newcommers
can get an idea of neocrons "roots". ("Know your roots" :P )

So anyway, I'll just list some links to what I found funny/cool/interesting etc
from 1996 till the current archive and you can check out the other stuff at
those links as well. The great part about the WaybackMachine engine is that
it has sublinks and subpages working in sync with their parents, so you can
browse posts of a forum way back. When you find something interesting, post
your finds back here with dates as well

WELCOME TO THE #1 VIRTUAL CITY PROJECT
-Original site they made I guess, very basic with navigation frame on left and
5 minute design on main target frame..
-None of links works there except the Old forum link from 1999, you can
check it out here

The project will be released in Q4/2001.
-Look at the home page, it wasn't half bad.. none of the links seem to work
but it's still cool
-The first BETA registration page , sniff.

Unlike most other MMORPGs, Neocron uses state of the art 3D technology...
-lol, love the Neocron Tech Specs statement, if it were said today I think the'd
get laughed at horribly.
-Notice how fan orientated neocron.com used to be? they even listed info
about other fansite updates where as only fansites post updates about
neocron now.
-Check out the Design, FAQ buttons etc and this early review at RPG PLANET, awesome :P

CDV has launched their new "Community Talent Finding Quest".
-New smaller resolution layout, same design
-They asked people to submit random NPC names because their name generator
made goofy names, this explains the current weird NPC names !

You'll see a technician who is test driving the new NeXT A-31-0 "Dunerider" bike.

B4 Game Client - Download the neocron beta4 client right here (~1,2 GB)
-Getting closer to the current site design heh. This is what the site looked like
during the early Beta4 process, this is what i saw the first time... I only signed
up because i figured a game 1.2 GB's big had to be something cool inside. :P
-Beta patch 156 notes , High-level monsters may now drop item parts of rare weapons
oh gee i remember reading that and posting to remove it :P


So this is where i stop, at the point where i started playing. From sept23
till now there isn't much differences to note, except news posts and small
stuff like that.. if your interested check the archive index. Also be sure to
check out the fan sites, some of big fansites like neocroncentral are there.

I have attached 5 screenshots of all pre sept. 2002 archived webpages incase
some of you have trouble viewing them as it's quite slow.
