    Post Clubs in Pepper Park

    Clubs have never been very useful in Pepper Park, other than to pop in to escape death, now they are no longer safe, perhaps they could be used to encourage PVP in those area.

    For example you could add a similar system as to outposts where a Clan can take control of the club by hacking various points (just an idea could be done another way). Once that clan has control of the club, the club could spawn guards inside that are of that clubs faction and perhaps offer other benefits as well such as a daily money income from the club.

    Outside the club could be a sign which says the occupying clan name so everyone can see who currently has control of this.

    If it works well there is no reason why this type of feature could not be used throughout pepper park, owning turf in the city would really add atmosphere to pepper park and would bring more players there to fight and give them a goal, this perhaps would keep gankers away from other places too.

    You could even add faction specific features, for example Black Dragon owned clubs could spawn NPC's which sell cheap drugs, Tsunami NPC's could allow gambling, FA & Biotech could supply cheap implants, Tangent cheap weapons, Diamond cheap city apartments, these are just a few examples.

    I like the idea of clubs being used by player factions but I am not sure that anyone from the "city" would want to involve themselves in the seediness of Pepper Park. I would think that the three factions from there and possibly at a push TG would feel inclined to take an interest from a lore/storyline point of view. CA would obviously have a vested interest in keeping the scum in one place and I think your idea of ownership (at least for these factions) is a strong one.

    However if I can take it one step further and offer an alternate suggestion... would it perhaps be MORE likely to get attention if the club was taken over by a NON-player faction (AB? Some other criminal element in nc?) and thus players were forced to work together to remove said enemies from the club, perhaps with some form of reward for doing so? This would combine elements of PVP and PVE and give everyone something to get involved in.

    I think perhaps if you combined the two pieces together and allowed "ownership" of the space for a limited time you would give elements of both sides of the community a stake in seeing what happens to said space.

    Just like to jump in on this point. In DoY sector 10 there is a hackterm. At the moment it just gives you some Faction bragging rights. The hackterm has been there for a while.... just waiting for some ideas to how this hackterm could be used.

    Other different ideas to how the clubs could be used... feel free to post your ideas.

    We popped down and took a look, other than item/faction specific items it's a difficult one... perhaps the controlling faction has access to NPC's for their faction which provide hacknet BP's ? It should also spawn faction NPC's and cheap wares.
    You could also add a GR that gives zero SI to the controlling faction.

    Or you could provide a tradeskiller bonus here, plus 30 to research, construct, implant and barter to any faction member who's faction controls the area, spawn some traders there too so the bonus is effective.

    It's a shame that the dome is never used, although the place is a maze and a shit hole, its got some nice area's such as the Crahn Church, it could be a good opportunity to add certain mob types similar to the outzone section which get harder as they you kill them. These should be all over the area and get harder as you approach old faction HQ's.

    Maybe that would also encourage players away from the usual leveling zones and the higher level mobs could drop tech parts similar to DOY tunnels.

    Make the area a warzone so no belts drop and encourage fights to who controls the hackable area.

    What about getting some of those woc weapon parts as a reward for holding the ground? The ones for the Back up gun and the other DOY only Woc weapons. Hold the spawn for say 1 hour real time and you get a RNG on one of the parts or something. It would encourage people to go there perhaps. Can you give it a server wide alert too on who is controlling DOY currently, give people the opportunity to go and remove them from the place etc.

    Also yes to the war zone thing, no belt drop would be good if you want to encourage "op" fights.
