    Default hybrids

good morning folks, the patch notes described that the onus for hybrids has been removed. IE negative effects one way or the other. But ive been gone for quite a while. What exactly was changed in this patch, I kind of checked some things out yesterday. armor and implants and whatnot, they still detract from apu or ppu, so I guess my question would be..what was changed and what does that mean to myself and others in general.

I think meant was the negative effect of both skills skilled. E. g. 140 apu made like 100% on a spell and if you'd drop some points in ppu the damage decreased to like 80%. (i remember a malus of 20-25% vice versa)

    Hybrid PSI Monks
We have removed the negative effects of PSI Monk specialisation, bringing Hybrid PSI Monks back to the table. Hybrid PSI Monks should now pose a threat in combat but thanks to changes in shield mechanics and weapon balance they should not outstrip specialised PSI Monks in defence or damage output.

Is this not the answer? (in the patch notes)

Well i can tell u that. I have tested it last year. Let say u were full PPU and u started loming and spending the points in APU
As soon u spended 40(or 50 i forgot) points in APU the holy shields acted like blessed shields for some odd reason.
I other words, if u were fully PPU and holy frostration did 20 damage to u, it became 75 damage as soon u spended 40 (or 50) in apu.
Made it impossible to make a hybrid. I hope u understand it in my bad english.

The negative effects of APU skill on PPU module damage (and vice-versa) have been removed. This change in combination with the shields overhaul (the low techlevel and blessed shields now actually protect you against damage) makes Hybrids a viable class to play.

Especially in small fights and duels hybrid setups are very strong. They deal a fair bit of damage or can be setup to be very tanky, plus when there is no PPU around they can provide some support for their teammates. However, when a fully buffed APU targets you prepare for a tough fight.

Implants and Armors haven't changed. If those didn't have nasty maluses for apu and ppu skills hybrids would easily become too powerful.

That being said: Please share your experiences playing or fighting a hybrid - keeping them in line is a very complex task and every single bit of feedback helps alot in identifying and fixing potential issues. And have fun experimenting with this new (old) class, I know I will
