    Default [00459][R#183] invisible custom chat (trade,help etc)

    cant see the trade chann or help chann.
    after relog all is fine for a few minutes then same problem

    I've also experienced this.

    Another issue I've been noticing: Not receiving Direct messages or Team invites until I relog.
    Tobson, have you experienced this too?

    I've never had this.

    Could it be an issue with logging?

    What OS?

    Where is Neocron installed?

    Is Read-Only disabled on folder?

    What zone(s) are you in when this occurs? What ping do you have at that time? Does this only occur if you're standing still for long periods? If you zone, rather than relog, does the issue get resolved?

    Please provide as much detailed information as possible

    in my app and in syncon lab (ug). was on 2 different accs and laptops.
    ping was ok ~60
    after relog it was ok for 20 min than same problem

    I cannot provide the details BlackMaze asked for because I'm at work.

    I was in Plaza 1.
    I cannot tell you my ping, but I'm sure it was normal: 60ms.
    I don't usually stand still for long periods in game, however, I do believe I was running multiple clients by changing port configuration...
    I tried zoning but it did not fix the issue.

    I had to fully relog, with a different port config, in order to get this to work successfully.

    yes my client was single running.
    later the day all was good so no probs with chat window

    I have been having this problem too in retail all over NC. Was in the OZ 5 I think in one of the cellar areas when my team says something about me not chatting. I went to local chat and everything was fine. DM's and Team chat seems to be affected for me.

    for 5 min the ADMIN chat was invisible on my trader acc in syncon,on my pe(other pc) was all fine

    Happens quite a lot on my researcher:
    Jankins Lab / own app

    Friends constructor has been running missions (construction) at BT HQ and he gets it a lot when he zones in.

    Mainly notice it on chars who stay in one zone for a while, when you zone or relog suddenly help channel (the one open on all my chars) reappears.

    ping is 60ms
    dont run mulitple clients on the same machine
    win7 64 bit
    machine is only 3 months old (gaming machine - i5-3570k - 16gb ram - Geforce GTX 660 Ti)
    100 mb internet connection

    Question

    After talking to a few players last night on IRC there does seem to be a pattern emerging. However I've yet to replicate the issue. So I'm going to ask for more information. If you get the invisible chat bug can you let us know the following:-

    • Your OS (Please state whether it's 32 or 64bit as well):
    • Your ISP and country:
    • Date and time it happened:
    • Which zone you were in:
    • Were you sitting, standing or moving:
    • How long Were you in the zone before you noticed chat stop working:
    • Which chat channel(s) stopped working:
    • Are you running full screen or window mode:
    • What port number(s) you use:
    • Multibox/dual logging users - do you use the same install or a separate install for each login:
    • Anything else you think may be relevant or irrelevant:


    Hopefully with the information we will be able to track down the issue and fix it.
