    Default [00688][174]Hitbox-aim issue


    For a test i just put 3 characters in a row. For my shooter i got the name of the ppu marked as hitbox but my aim adressed the tank. If i would go like 3-4 pixles higher my aim would refocus and in this case correct on the ppu. All done with a shot.
    Aim is toggled on the ppu and the tank recieves the damage.


    This makes it more clear. You can see i got my tank in focus but dont see it.

    What about other weapontypes? This is really confusing. I just put a rifltank and a hc tank face to face.



    On both screen im on the maximum high the names get displayed. Now im moving 1 pixel up on every screen.



    Rifle hits - cannon misses. I was thinking of the PA and took it off but its the same result. Rifle and pistol seem to have the same issue on that or the cannon has an issue and the display + hitbox has different sizes.

    My ppu was next to my tanks and i was thinking if it is possible to heal with the same thing.
    I put the PA on my rifletank of and tried it.



    Result: My HC tank recieves a heal if im like 1 pixel above the displayed hitbox, my rifletank doesnt.

    Now its the other way around.

    It looks like this issue can occure on every character. I also logged back my pistolspy on 1 HC tank and a allrounder tank (some RC,PC and HC). Both tanks could aim with all weapons either the allroundertank with all weapontypes above the display and got aim and my pistolspy doesnt.

    Looks like a bug.

    Edit2:

    This bug can come and go with zoneing so it isnt fixed on your character during the whole session.

    I have noticed the issue you are talking about occasionally myself. Aiming at something (player/mob etc) but hitting something behind it etc.

    I always wondered if it was somehow down to the issue with the recticle/aim point in first and third person views being different when you toggle between them.

    if you notice, anyone using 3rd person looks down at the floor almost, thats where the discrepancy lies, amongst other things.
