The bigger issue with the snow is that it has replaced all other weather types in all zones.
NC used to have a range of different weathers, which varied on both randomization and on zone type. Both times that snow has been patched in, it's replaced them all - supposedly "just for christmas" but it sticks around for well, years.

Yes, it destroys a huge part of the ingame atmosphere.
