    Unhappy [OT] I'm getting old....

I was looking at my left shoulder, no particular reason, just poking at a small scab. But then I looked at my right one and I couldn't focus properly on it.

A few checks later and it appears my right eye can't focus as close as the left, which is wierd because it's my dominant eye (right handed too).

Maybe it's because I use it more...

Time for an eye test, never hand one at an opticians before..

    DJ is scared....

I've been wearing glasses since i was 8. Trust me, all they do at an opticians is put some crazy glasses on your face and change the lenses in each eye hole, asking "which one is clearer, 1 or 2?" For about 20 mins.

Bonus if its a hot lady, 'cause they get REALLY close to your face you swear they're about to kiss you.

dj, it is probably caused by looking into a computer screen.

Sometimes the porn gets a little blurry.

LOL. Seriously DJ, the absolute worst part of the optician is when they shine a light into your eyes. Aside from that, the dentist is way more scary (i suppose the drill adds to that somewhat).

I'm only scared of what they might tell me, not what they do. I really don't want to be loosing my sight at 24.

I rather go to an optician other than a dentist. The dentist is prabally the worst place to be. But pray that you get a hot one and I have been wearing glasses sence I was 7.

Or have laser surgery. Have you got a Creed?

If you dislike the idea of surgery then there is a nicer way available in Britain.
If your eyes have less than 2.5, then you can permanently correct the sight by using contact lences. These lences are worn continuously for some months. They act by gently adjusting the eyes back to the correct shape. If you wish for more details then PM me because my optition sells this service, and ought to be able to tell you more about it, or tell you where your local one is. I do not think that this technique is available on the NHS.

Wouldn't it be great if everyone had to wear those crazy specs they use for the testing.

For me the freakiest part is where she shines a big fat light right in my eye which makes the pupil go super-wide, after which she proceeds to practically climb right inside it while trying to check my retina or something.

    Cool people wear sunglasses.

What scares me personally more than my sight getting worse slowly (wearing glasses since i'm 16, until now i only need them when i'm at the movies or driving) is that i'm starting to prefer a quiet night at home with a glass of wine and a good movie a lot more than a party and the chance to get laid.

And more than 2 parties a week? No chance. At least not if i haven't got another 2 days to recover.
