A simple idea to fix op's

ok I'll make this short and sweet.

Make a structure that is about the size of crp on the outside.

Give this structure a hackable door ( level 1 )

once you hack level 1 the door opens, when u zone into this place you are now in a new zone, devoid of terrain, you are in a bsp based map like any sewer or neocron itself. This way the op can be detailed and long.

then around the base can be turrets, this will be level 2 hack.


then the final hack can be in or near the defending clan's spawn point and hacking it shuts down that clan's hold of the op.


how hard is that ? really, you have to be a complete moron to not have thought of this, who is in charge of design at KK ? o_O

Hack door shouldn't count as a hacking layer, it should also have two layers before access is permitted.

Remember the hack door will be the first warning for the enemy clan.

that's not intirely true. it is easy to do will fix some of the balence in the game and will make players happy.Honestly they gotta do it, they would be fools not to.What are KK's mappers doing with their time anyway? hireing hookers to the offices on company money? :eek:

let them crank out a few simple OP maps, even recycle the current UG's and just add to them. this is such an easy and fast fix to an on going bullshit ass problem.


oh and @ QD, yeah true. but I was going for speed I dident want to elaborate more, it's better that other community members do so, it saves me the trouble AND supports my idea all in 1 :D

its a good idea. I got a feeling KK gunna do something to OPs with DoY anyway. Anyone remember that test server post....

How bout they make the ops lok differnet.. Damn Meshes it looks so lame and damn annoyin cos u can use the same tacticso_O

Ok you guys want to know how to make OP wars great?

we set up every op with invincible super turrets that the owning clan can set to kill who ever.

now like this no one could ever attack an OP. So you pay say 20k for a hacker satilite that hacks into the op and takes your clans name out of the KoS list.

But the satilite needs 1 hour prep time and the hack only lasts half hour to an hour.

This is how it all falls into place:
attackers schedule a hack of an op
Defender and attackers get a warning every 10 min or so of the up comming op battle.
the defenders gr to UG of their op about 10 min prior to the fight.
The attackers are waiting one zone out or at least at a distance of the OP to ovoid the uber turrets.
Then the Time hits and the Turrets go down and the battle begins.

PROS:
no boring waiting for any one
its harder to ninja hack

i have lots of idea to add to this to make op battles even better.

very good idea geist, but i would make the room with the turrets etc... that you describe just the UG inside the OP

just the ug? your missing the point. the op itself would be all a UG.


when u hack an op the UG will be the attack spot itself and the first hack or attack would be the main gate. hacking an op should be a tactical thing not a moronic raid :(
