The new syncing background shows up fine in widescreen, but becomes very noticeably squished in non-widescreen resolutions. If it's not possible to have different images for different aspect ratios, I suggest adjusting it so it shows up correctly in 4:3, since the game renders most correctly in 4:3 and to maintain consistency with the login-screen background, which becomes stretched in widescreen.
