Seems I have so many corrupt files I think I many need to re-install NC2. I have the original disks...what are the consequences of this? Will I lose any chars or data?

You should be fine. The only thing that you'll loose is your settings, if you have any custom keys done up. Other than that, should be as simple as reinstall, patch, and go.Quote:

mmmh after patching to 145 i had to reinstall NC2, too... the launcher broke down every single time and the filecheck did not work at all......
Does this mean I will have to reinstall all the patches!!

Some of us have been wondering what's happened to Tech Haven's favourite poker! ;)
One thing to add, it's worth copying the patches directory somewhere safe, before you delete and reinstall Neocron. Then when you have re-installed Neocron, copy the patches directory back to your neocron directory. That will save a lot of time downloading them.

You will also lose your screenshot folder.
As people have said, copy out your /patches directory. After you have re-installed NC2, drop it back in the directory and it should patch itself up to date. If it has any problems on any patches, delete that patch and let the Launcher redownload it.
The only other things that might be worth saving:
/ini/player.ini
This has all your SMS's and a few configs.
/ini/rposcolor.ini
This has your colour scheme in it.
/shots
If you wanna save your screenshots.

I recommend also seeing if you can copy over your languages folder, because, apparently, NC is fucking BITCHY about that.

when i resetted my compoputer i did't have a launcher so i resintalled then i had lot of coprrupten files so i just downloaded'em thrue the launcher.
Thanks for everyones help here. NC now reinstalled and working perfectly ...well apart from the bugs!
