What OS?
Where is Neocron installed?
Is Read-Only disabled on folder?

What zone(s) are you in when this occurs? What ping do you have at that time? Does this only occur if you're standing still for long periods? If you zone, rather than relog, does the issue get resolved?

I cannot provide the details BlackMaze asked for because I'm at work.
I was in Plaza 1.
I cannot tell you my ping, but I'm sure it was normal: 60ms.
I don't usually stand still for long periods in game, however, I do believe I was running multiple clients by changing port configuration...
I tried zoning but it did not fix the issue.
I had to fully relog, with a different port config, in order to get this to work successfully.
Does this happen when you're only using a single client?
I have been having this problem too in retail all over NC. Was in the OZ 5 I think in one of the cellar areas when my team says something about me not chatting. I went to local chat and everything was fine. DM's and Team chat seems to be affected for me.
for 5 min the ADMIN chat was invisible on my trader acc in syncon,on my pe(other pc) was all fine

Friends constructor has been running missions (construction) at BT HQ and he gets it a lot when he zones in.
Mainly notice it on chars who stay in one zone for a while, when you zone or relog suddenly help channel (the one open on all my chars) reappears.
ping is 60ms
dont run mulitple clients on the same machine

machine is only 3 months old (gaming machine - i5-3570k - 16gb ram - Geforce GTX 660 Ti)

After talking to a few players last night on IRC there does seem to be a pattern emerging. However I've yet to replicate the issue. So I'm going to ask for more information. If you get the invisible chat bug can you let us know the following:-

In Regants Legacy, I would have been moving, but regularly (5min interval) swapping between Boss Room and Main Regants Legacy

When this bug occurs, you can communicate in the channel, but cannot see other players responses in that channel.
Additionally, a symptom of this issue is that when accepting team invites, you will not join the Team.
It will be tricky for single boxers to even notice they have this issue, because for all intents and purposes, how can they tell that their chat partner(s) is simply not responding to them.
Additionally, I have had cases where one of my instances is not affected by the bug, and rest are.
The only way to correct the issue for me is to relog. Zoning does not fix the issue.
Not sure if anyone has noticed but the ingame chat problem seems to be increasing?
I only noticed the start of this problem last week and was finally able to get a msg thru to the runner who needed my services
with the help of some runners in NC Trade chat who could read me just fine.
Yesterday evening 7% online and all chats are totally dead.
Runners who dm each other can not read each other.
Runners in same clan also sometimes can not read each other.
Thank god for TS, sometimes we can tell each other that one of us can not be read on the ingame chat, but it would be hard to invite everybody to TS in order to have a working communication again.
Please check this out before I loose my customers.:angel:

when i log in in syncon the chat is buggy immediately. all custom and admin chat. direct and local chat works. dont test clan chat

I don't use multiple accounts, but my brother uses the same internet connection. He uses a different.

I have a 50 mb fibre optic broadband supplied by Virgin Media (UK)
Whenever someone logs into NC using this internet connection they have the following problem:
After 5 - 10 minutes in a zone
Lose all chat channels but local
When they zone they get a sync error
(also seems to lead to team issues, but there are a few of those already - so it may just expose it)
The work arround is to keep zoning or to do a quick relog.
The work arround is easy, but the whole bug is annoying as when you zone and sync 9/10 you do not end up where you entered the zone but on one of the "safe points". It also makes communicating across any channel but local problematic).
This must be linked to either the Virgin connection or I suppose the router (depends if other high spped connections are having a similar issue), as it affected all PC / laptops we have tested.
When I try a different Internet provider (BT 4mb connection) then this problem does not occur.
Does anyone else have this issue?
