You don't have to put copyright symbols all over everything. ;) Think of it this way: wherever you would put copyright messages of your own, add on copyrights for anything else you may have used (not just our stuff). Remember that using assets without permission, anyone's assets, is a breach of copyright law and that would break rule 2.

Ok guys, I'm tired, but I wanted to showcase *some* progress on Medicare. I've been toying around with the grav lifts and the Garriot's Diner texture, so a lot of mesh work has gone to the wayside and there isn't a tremendous amount more than the last update. I am also working on some more custom textures that are not complete, so when I show off the full renders, they will contain some more *authentic* Neocron textures (I have posted those screenshots below as well). These images are straight from Hammer, so no pretty lights and rendering, but you can see the work that has been done since the last big Youtube video.

If anyone is as observant as my friend Biglines, you will notice that the map isn't exactly to NC's scale. What I'm trying to do is recreate NC with a sense of space. I know a lot of areas were designed to be compact for aesthetic reasons in NC, to give the impression of a large, overcrowded city. With Source, I can expand these areas a little more and add detail brushes that add a higher level of detail and still give that impression. Once I add in Biglines' static props, it will tighten back up, while it allowed me the freedom to add the details that you see in the brushwork. I hope that clears up some of the concerns I have been getting via PM. Enjoy these screenies. I promise more tomorrow, hopefully with the full renders.

On the top floor of Medicare, beneath the ramps there are some trashcans and boxes. Were you going to make those as well, or should I use placeholders like barrels and HL2 boxes? I would like to go ahead and remake all of the props that we can so that it feels as much like NC as possible. Your thoughts?
I could make em, but it'll take some time, currently working on a small personal project,but I'll try to get the static props to proper size and give them to you
Okay. Maybe I'll screw around in XSI today and make some trash cans. I want to be familiar with as many aspects of this process as possible.

Also, comment on Inferno's work. Like, the Yo's sign, I told him we need to trace the original Yo's logo from the game in Illustrator. That font looks... well, not Neocron.

You guys gonna put graffiti tags around? Maybe you could ask the less talented of us community members [ahem] to come up with some simple scrawl of our initials or names to be immortalised and you guys can pick the best 1 or 2? You could also ask a couple of KK members if they want to come up with a quick version of their own. Just a thought.
Yeah, I save decals and overlays until I have a good base down. So, that gives everyone who wants to the chance to come up with some spectacular artwork. I would be very excited to incorporate the community's artwork and KK's as well. After all, this mod is to show support for the Neocron Community, right?Quote:
