If I would choose a word to describe it I would say "adult".
While all players clearly aren't adults, the game require its player so to speak.
It requires patience and if you get ganked, so is your last month savings if you're in a expensive ship. Already there, the game weeds out the worst whiners.
Although I must admit, pvp is quite dominant. If you don't pvp there isn't much to do except mining days on end or trading. If you do enjoy trading however you can have a blast as well (or of course if you are the grinding person you will like the mining, there are countless of solar systems with different minerals etc and if you are a good miner you can make a lot of money). The economy is quite evolved.

Good to see this game is still up and running. Now I will wait for the population to reach NC1 beta levels and I will consider trying to remember my account ID 0.o

Jesus christ I just remembered, beta was what? like 7 or 8 years ago?

if my memory is correct, beta4 was around september 2002 which was right when I started playing.....so almost 6 years ago.

oh how the good times are left in the past.....
