im playing a slasher PE on terra. i even tried to compete in a masters of the universe tournament with it.

THE SLASHER IS ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT
LIKE EVERY OTHER BURST WEAPON TOO

oh my god jini, just shut up with your "everything-is-fine-except-4-or-5-things"-blabla.. nobody will ever believe this.

carnage already CONFIRMED that there is a burst weapon problem, i posted u an URL to a little Movie where u can see, that a xbow PE is able to kill an apu with like 8 shots without even hitting him. there are like thousand of balancing relevant problems ingame and u just close your eyes and say that the game is fine as it is -.-

did you try antinanites already?


(for megaupload.com: u have to type in the 3 letter-code first. then u have to wait 45 seconds until u can click the download button. normally it should work.)

I know what you mean by this, its 'almost' completely un-usable. I use the TL40 nanite heal tool in conjunction with nanites shields but as the heal uses 20 nanite units I can only heal once before going over the 100 'limit', with only 6 shields ((12.5 units per injection x 6 = 75) + 20 = 95).

Wow, what a friendly and elaborate answer from Carnage...would be nice to know why this is intended or if they plan to change it any time soon because, as you say, the TL40 nanite heal tool is nigh on unusable for Spies which, iirc, was the class it was intended for in the first place. But I digress and am straying from the topic....continue your....'discussion'(?)

It was intended, of course it was. If it wasn't they would have issued a fix. It was intended because a good spy is almost balanced against any other character. With some ppu support the spy fights like a tank. On top of this, the spy can use his stealth tool -don't forget the 'get out of jail card' " to escape ANY situation and return fresh to keep fighting. Spies can be VERY tough, and if it wasn't for the clipping, the nanite heal would be fine as it is. Unfortunately we do have clippers and this game is far from ideal, so the spy does need a decent heal tool.


Slasher is fine and don't be stubborn Nabbl. Of all the people you shouldn't whine for burst weapons AT ALL. THERE IS NO PROBLEMO with burst weapons, they are simply harder to use. Are you capable of using them? Use them. You can't? Then go ahead and use a nibbish overpowered Dev like 1000 tanks do or an equally overboosted woc ion, while having 300+ speed, 280h-c and clip like no tomorrow. Im real happy on my FL/AK/HL rifle spy, so happy that I dont even login my pe anymore. And the spy is specced for OP fights, not pvp duels in the clippers heaven called pp1 :p :angel:

I'll give another go to that shit, megaspywareload and report back

erm if a weapon even misses most shots when you stick it up the arse of an imobile target i'd say there is a problem. just look at the vast number of different setups and you might get the idea that 90% of everything is really borked.

Carnage says, that me and like 200 other people are right, and there is a burst weapon problem, which is mabye the cause, why nobody is using burst weapons at the moment.

but jini says, that there isnt a problem with burst weapons, the players are just way too lowskilled for using them.

I have tested antinanites already and they don't work. It's a nice and cool idea for PEs but it doesn't work. (ok, did you REALLY expected such an answer from me? NOWAY :angel: ) I mean they do work as intended, but you have to close the subject way too much to be able to antibuff them. So to answer your question: do they work YES they do work. Are they usable? NO they are NOT usable. What if kk ever fixed that and antinanites worked as intended? What then? ANSWER: then 90% of the server would whine and whine, 'PEs are overpowered' 'fix the PEs we are getting killed and die', 'even while trying to clip whiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeeee' 'fix the PEs or we cancel accounts'... and so on O_o

We alone, kill this game with our constant whinning

Now about the megaspyware, here is what I get: there is nowhere i can press nothing to do, unless i d/l their spyware thingy look at the photo, and admire the miracles of OSX :p

It's not the browser. I am getting the same shit from IE within XP, no kidding

I didn't tried the hc pe. I am focused on rifles and pistols. Thats what I like to play. I am enjoying them since, now they DO work, as opposed to pre 2.2 and I am happy with them. I am more focused on rifles than pistols. Yesterday I fought Castro's Apu on my FL spy. He was ppu buffed and the fight was very close. But Castro on apu is pretty damn fast. And you try telling me that there is a problem with burst? Same for AK. I have fought Tanks, Spies monks. Vegah .. all. What I gather is that there is nothing wrong with burst. Some guns however are a mistake. The PE for instance, well i wont bother with the PE like im not bothering using anything else other than an xbow with jini. The combo works, and I like my weapons, so why change them?

You remind me of some friends, where you go out to have dinner, you order your food, and they cant hold their consumerism habbits, so they "try" out some food from my plate, or their gfs plate and so on. Reminds me of USA consumerism :p

There is a problem with burst weapons. It's that simple.

Bullshit theres alot of great setups for an Pe only probelm is that there is an Big difrents between the other rare weapons and the Xbow an that Fu**ing
New imps stats( 3,xx)) so evry one uses xbow because :
1: its cheap to skill stats ( only dex 100)
2: aiming is a joke
3: Damge has more power then any ohter stuff

Hardly anyone used it ever. The only time it was vaguely popular was during the latter parts of NC1 when it got the boost it needed. Unfortunately the same patch boosted the CS, Wyatt and Healing Light considerably (the horrible days of the HL/Spirit SH Spies and PEs). Since NC2 and the ridiculous ease of capping weapons, the exec and slasher took over.

Edit: Mike I had tried the rezzor PE. In fact I was the first one on terra, or I gave the setup to one of my clanies. Do remember that back then I was with Terrarists and everyone was screaming cheator and the like. So when they saw that Rezzor PE they immediately think it was cheating, leaving support tickets and GM calls. Thats how pathetic some people are...
