NC:BDoY - Official Release Date

Hello There.

Interesting thread, very interesting.

I'm glad to see i must admit a solid release date for Neocron: Beyond Dome Of York and i look forward to playing it as oneof my accounts is still in use untill after the deadline (19th January next year) well i hope this will be carried over so i can get my NC:BDOY and have a good look around which will possibly bring me back full time as in the week i havnt been playing NC ive played a few others and im in SWG for now but theres somthing about NC which is calling me to it again but i know i would get bored due to the lack of updates since the last patch.

Anyway i hope there is some nice added stuff/bug fixes in the 5 months before NC:BDOY to keep the players happy and possibly make some people reactivate there acounts and i hope the beta testing goes well but one thing i will say about the beta testing i hope "The Few" are chosen from equal amounts of each community (English, French, German) so it doesnt lead to accusing of favoritism i hope all that get picked for the Beta mean to find the bugs and they will be removed before it goes live

I wish you KK and 10T the best of luck with the build up to NC:BDOY and that it is a great success because i havn't found a new MMO which has pulled me in as much as NC did when i started playing

Hope it goes well and the "The Few" that become the beta testers get as much found and fixed as possible

I however have 1 question only. I am still paying for neocron, i am not paying
for BDoY, not yet anyway, so i want to know if there will be more patches to
fix any of the 1 million bugs existing in Neocron allready? Or very very simple
things like Reopen MC5, Fix Gravlifts at TH, Put a damn GR at racetrack? Will
any of those things come?

I want patches, it's been over a month since the last one, ffs, i am paying for
neocron, not for bdoy!

I know you will give the usual "We are focusing on BDoY" excuse but i will say
this once more, I am not paying for BDoY! Fix the game I'm paying for, then
you can spend whatever spare time you have to work on BDoY!

This is getting to be way to much, seriously. You have no sence of loyalty
towards your customers at all. I am sorry but after a while It just doesnt
cut it anymore.

I see a lot of banned users. If they have been using abusive language: okay, but I don't think it's fair to ban people who show their disappointment over the postponement of the release of BDoY.

I think if anyone was to sit back and take a neutral view at this decision they would see that it is the right one.
There was no way from a marketing point of view would they have released this game in Q2. You just don't do that when you are releasing a game. Especially not a MMORPG.

It would have been released, server numbers wouldn't have gone up to the expected numbers due to summer time being a time when the majority aren't playing games as much. So in the end come autumn and winter those people who did stay in would have gotten bored and those who didn't would be getting all excited for the new releases coming out then and before xmas.

This date will be perfect, they will have summer to market it, a few nice shows such as E3, ECTS will be perfect to advertise.

If done correctly you could see september with server populations like it was always meant to be.

I'd be lying if i said that i was dissapointed that i have to wait, but that would just be selfish, and its not like i personally am not enjoying the game anyway. I for one can wait, although i shall disable 1 of my 3 accounts just now just to save a bit of cash. :)

Yes i agree with also Garyu, but you are forgetin that the main problem is not the delay, but the consecutive broken promisses, deadlines, fixes, and all the rest that has to be done, even before people start thinking on DoY.
and also the mentality of KK wich consists " This is what you get so stick it deep in your ass and shut the hell up"

Yea I have to agree with this. I think most of the people here are the diehard fans. I love this game and I think it has alot of potential. Alot.

I just think Bdoy does look quite promising, but seriously if this DoY is crap I think im gonna have to change to another MMORPG, because I really don't understand how I can play on highest detail on UT2K4 without any FPS lag at all , yet when I enter a room with like 5 people my ping is at the most 50 and as everyone knows it doesn't have the exactly "best" graphics compared to other games O_o

Yes i totally agree, and in my opinion i believe that a lot of this was due to that KK do come here and tell us things personally. This just then would put a lot of pressure on themselves. We have a community here who loves this game but have also grown to want a lot of things and it appears that KK promised a little too much.
Maybe due to the constant pressure from the community.

I think if most of the announcements were done through press release etc then there wouldn't be as much anger in the dissapointment, sites like Gamespot, IGN would do the slating for us. But here people have someone to aim their dissapointment and thats at MJS, and currently he is right in the firing line which is unfortunate.

I say quit reading the forums and write up a press release, send it to Games Press and from now on do that. That is free advertising for the game right there :D
