Dear KK (Kirk); please, please do something.

I havent flamed any of your posts. I merely pointed out flawed logic in that you threatened to give Kirk a deadline to meet of a reply within a month. The problem with the threat was 2 weeks had already passed since the start of your deadline.

It is simple maths. That would be like saying "hey I am giving you a year to live dude but the shit thing is.... I found out about this 8 months ago....."

Yes this is an extreme example but the logic is still sound. You couldnt recognise that or grasp the point I was making it seems and then in your next four posts you made wise cracks and remarks I would expect from a petulant teenager.

By the time the fourth post came I decided to point out the fact that you made yourself look like a tool.

You then misquoted Biglines and myself after Jodo made his point about people bitching. You then trolled some more after biglines said stop trolling.

Then you blamed me for saying you were trolling and even edited one of my posts to "better reflect" the truth apparently. Again I didnt comment until you began trolling here. I also added the fact that you would be trolling on the bp forum by stirring up trouble there. This is the dictionary definition of trolling and is the reason I counselled against the idea in the first place.

At no point have I made reference to your posts other than the tool comment, which I think you are because you consistently fly off the handle and get stuff wrong, misquote me and others and generally get stuff wrong here.

This petty argument is what caused Tarasm to make his comment, which I wholeheartedly agree with. Again in your last post you have tried to bring the attention back to me and failed miserably.

All of this is right here to see. The last two pages worth of crap in this thread are useless.

I fail to understand what point you wanted to make whilst charging off on this crusade. It has just made no sense whatsoever and we have come a situation I clearly tried to avoid.

I mean talk about inflating your own sense of superiority with the "surrender" comment? How old are you? 20? 15?

This thread has been derailed into a mess. As previously stated people might as well just call it a plus one now. There is nothing new here to see. Until we get some new response from the powers that be people need to learn to self moderate a little better.

I'm pretty confident he's working on getting us an answer, really we should all just get a sense of patience and wait until then. By all means if a year goes by and we don't have an answer then that's when we start bugging him for an answer, but give it some more time.

I know I'm a newbie so I wasn't around to wait for the older updates but give KK and Kirk another chance and let him prove that he can give us an answer in a reasonable time frame.

A reasonable time frame is LOOOOONG gone. A reasonable timeframe was maybe twice the time he promised, maybe even three times. Not 30 times as long as promised.

Very true about ignoring stupid comments. Kamiux is saying stupid stuff (as far as I can tell) but William keeps retaliating. If they both stopped it would be much better.

Kamuix99. I am a doctor. i have analysed your condition including all obvious symptoms which include writing complete shit, making posts to inflame and agitate other forum users and double posting.

My diagnosis is this. One of the worst cases of bad troll with a healthy dose of troll denial i have ever seen as a proffessional forum warrior.

Luckily for you i am also an engineer. Therefore im gonna do you a huge favour a and build a bridge. That way you can ever get the fuck over it or you can crawl back underneath and live with all the other trolls and quit your bitching and whining on the forum.

Now. i need to find myself a surgeon. it would appear my tongue has become wedged in my cheek while i write this. ;)

I want to share some thoughts that I had while reading this thread. Sorry for my bad english, but I try to explain myself as clearly as possible.

At the moment we have a problem that everyone is very dissappointed. KK has the problem of a bad reputation, no time and simply no money to work on the game and the community is not able to play there beloved game with the enjoyment Neocron deserves.

So why don't we bring these two parts together and make something good with it?
There are SO MANY programmers in the community, maybe students, maybe people which want to increase the programming knowledge, maybe some people with to much freetime. Why don't you give them a job?
Of course they would have to put in a comprehensive application and sign a contract of reticence.
I mean you don't even have to pay them. You could promise them a part of the winnings as soon as the payment-system works again. So that these programmers would work for two reasons. Additional earnings and the feeling to do something GOOD.
At the end everyone would win. The programmers which maybe earn some money, enhance their programming knowlegde, the community which would be able to play the game, and KK who would get a better reputation and maybe some serious human capital with decent game design knowledge.
Diamonds are made from carbon so just give some people some carbon (maybe the SVN trunk ;-)) and let them make a diamond.

in the past, when that proposal was voiced (well, lots of times), the reply was that because of contracts they can't let others work on it, and it would take too much time to manage changes.

I wonder if it is possible to make an anti-cheat 3rd party app though. Like punkbuster before it went commercial, or the united admins anti-cheat app made for counterstrike.

That is why I said that KK has to hire the people instead of just giving them the code.
In a normal employer-employee relationship this wouldn't be much of a problem.

but is there anyone who has any type of experience with anti-cheat solutions? (securing connections, verifying running processes, automatic screenshots, analysing setups/loadouts etc)

You wouldn't need to pay them he said.
