Now i know you are here for free, but you also are a representative of a company on wich we give money every month.....so we have all right to unsatisfied to all broken promisses and missed dealines.
I am also quite happy with this, and im not even concerned with the fail of this deadline.
Failing this dealine will mean the end of this game.

I think KK are doing exactly the opposite. They know that if they can get BDoY right, they can make Neocron really really popular, getting themselves more money and pleasing the existing fans (ultimately) in the process.

IMO BDoY is a life or death matter for KK, and they are trying to get it right so that they don't end up dead.

If you're already tired of the current gameplay then I think you might as well leave. The reason I stay is because I still love the gameplay, the rush of op fights - the rush that comes when I actually manage to take someone down with my Silent Hunter (yes, I'm crap - but then I've never said otherwise - what matters is that the game is fun :cool: ) and general pvping. I doubt that the core gameplay is going to change enough to keep anyone who's already bored of the current system.

And I'd rather have a whole summer without BDoY than a whole summer of repeated crashing because KK released DBoY before it was ready.

I'm pretty sure someone said ti earlier, but KK should just use the 'When it's done' line - hopefully they will learn tho. It's the same line Epic, ID, and many of the other more experianced developers have found to be the best.

I have faith in this date. The amount of whining in this thread is sickening to me. Most of it is coming from the same people, over and over... just leave already! :lol:

Some people have deactivated their accounts, but I feel like reactivating both of mine. I've spent some time looking at other games, and I realized that none of them are as enjoyable to me as Neocron. Sure it has it's bugs, and I've complained a bit about them in the past... but really, it's still very enjoyable! Some other games out there are more stable, and some look better, but they aren't as fun for me. If you are reading this and thinking to yourself "What is he thinking?! NC isn't fun at all! :mad: ", then leave!

Don't forget, we're all humans here. Humans aren't perfect. Humans miss deadlines. Humans can't please everybody. If you honestly expect to be 100% satisfied with a product and no less, then you will be disappointed all throughout your life, and lets face it, you also disappoint other people because it's inevitable. If you feel wronged by the people you purchase a revolving product from, the solution is to leave, not to linger and ruin others' experiences who don't feel the same as you. I'm not naming names, you know who you are. :p

As far as BDoY goes: Every time they push the deadline, more features are planned to be implemented. This is far more than an expansion now. I hope everything goes well with the game. I'm here to stay. :D

I remember wondering what Neocron would be like on the very first forum, when imaginations ran wild. I remember seeing an Aggressor and the ideas of a sewer system for the first time, my imagination ran wild. I remember waiting for what seemed years to hear about beta testing, now that was waiting. This is nothing, I actually have a game to play while I wait. :p

I'm sure they are loosing less customers by doing a closed beta and releasing a bug free doy later than the release date, than they would releasing it full of bugs but on time.

Hmm, why are everyone so excited? BDoY is nothing infact:
- few more city zones (like if anyone is using more than plaza1 and 2)
- few more dungeons (like if anyone is using more than crp cave)
- texture rework (like if anyone cared about TH look)
- silly faction relationship changes (BioTech allied to Tangent?!? Tsunami allied to BDragons?!? ROTLF !!!!! )

So...

WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT ?

KK is lying, because they have too. They failed to launch DoY when it was small and as it's getting bigger it's getting harder and harder because community expectations grow much faster than features list.
You guys keeps getting yourself high with your imagination that DoY will change something. It won't.
PKers will keep spoiling your fun by killing you, carebears will keep spoiling your fun by forbiding you to kill, whiney llamas will keep whinning to nerf everything, and mods will keep banning you because they forgot who was perma-banned and who had just 3days.

Neocron lacks only one thing - constant inflow of fresh blood to overcome old folks leaving. Stasis is not and option, ppl will always leave and no expansion packs can keep everyone interested. Only newbies can save Neocron.
And newbies are only thing I want.

people are more pissed about the date was set for early june and then pushed back. dont give us a date u cant reached, your letting us all down when u do that. also i would like to see some nice new items put into the game NOW! i want mc5 opend soon, and fuck give us soem new mobs for now.......

Maloch Octavia, I thank you for you time spent in your admirable posts.

Now I believe there is a tolerance level we all have, some of us are able to
tolerate this deadline fiasco differently from others no doubt. According to
some of you, the release date works nicely into your life schedule, to others
this deadline is a problem. Unfortunately, everyone is not the same person
and KK can't pick a date that will be suitable for everyone and their lifestyle.
Obviously, some of you will throw that out cause bdoy should already be
available, but according to MJS certain game updates prolonged the deadline.

This thread is proof that people only focus on the negative things in life, not
the positive. A girl could get ran over by a truck and end up on the news as a
freak accident and people will be saying "oh here about that girl who got hit
by the truck", yet if a brave kid saved her life, it wouldn't be on the news and
people wouldn't be talking about it. We all yearn for drama is my point.

Who here from beta 4 remembers KK promising vehicles as a future feature
enhancement only to find it patched into the game at the end of beta? Didn't
we all see those vehicles in the ASG stores and wish they were ingame cause
they looked so, excuse my language, fucking cool!? Then remember the day it
finally happened, they added it to the game and it took me an hour to download
that huge patch file and instantly went to outzone subway genrep to get to
the jericko ASG only to see the crowd of people marveling at the first 4 vehicles
introduced. Vehicles were the shiznit then, but now they are useless mostly.
Point is, they came through and gave us a end beta4 present sorta speak. I
don't remember anyone talking about this? But everyone anticipated it's arrival!

Same with the dogtags for bounty hunting, we all wanted it badly then saw it
in the patch notes and wowed all over for it. But now, we all don't use it.. It's
another useless feature. It's not KK's fault entirely, partially is due to execution,
but KK can only give us the paint brushes, we have to paint the picture.

The truth is, KK has already survived miracles! Who woulda thought a little
company could front some money, take a half broken and outdated Genesis3D
engine, add their own unique lanscaping engine touch to it, add netcode,
scripting, audio, engine updates, etc etc etc and come to what is now neocron
after many many many many improvements, additions, and changes? No one
but KK knows this.

Now imagine, most of us vets are from beta4 and oldies from beta 2 and 3.
We are still playing this game, some of us got our friend to play cause it's so
good, heck even our family or girlfriends (O_o). The servercounts are from
beta players and shelf buyers. Think about how poorly CDV did on advertising
neocron and how long it has lasted until now? Imagine if neocron advertised
on commercials, on major websites, major stores etc, Neocron would get enough
new players to replace all of the forum users + half the current population easily
but of course with time!

So let us all cancel our accounts and let the 12 yr old newcommers take over
the game and change it during the summer, but as long as I'm here and have
a voice, i'm not going anywhere and neither should anyone else if you support
this game and have faith it will succeed because it has already done so in my
eyes soley on it's potential.

I hope some of you will reconsider your leaves, especially the vets. We are the
ones that helped shape the game to what it is, from nagging to nerfs to
helping out newcommers learn the ropes and just about everything else we
put our share of time into helping the game exceed it's potential locked in
the clam shell.

The deadline sucks no shit, the expansion costs suck no shit. But, we love
the game so lets embrace it and support the company who gave us the priviledge
to play it and help sculpt it. I have faith, and i'm not the religious type either.

I've just read the release date (not been on the forums over Easter) and I am disappointed that the release date has been pushed back. I have been on Neocron nearly a year, so can understand the reasons for people being a tad upset over the slippage....

I will still be hoping for the release of NC:BDoY but too many other games will be released around that time and are KK sure they can keep players interested until then?

Some people are leaving, I have not seen too many who have started and over Easter the server populations were very low. We need some extra surprise content or some GM events or something to keep us active until September or else the release may be too late...

I don't beleive that to be the case. They may appear to loose more customers initially, but those who really find Neocron fun to play will return and reactivate IMO.

I get the feeling from some people that they expect BDoY to turn Neocron into a totally new, totally different game - I don't think that's going to happen. Thopse people are better off leaving now IMO.
