If martin is still around can he tell us will anything be done to make the next few months be worth paying for or should we all just log till september the first ie all the bugs fixed from the last patch ohh and by the way leave the fucking para alone unless you remove fucking antibuff and devourer .

nice to see that there's a decent possibility of patches before DoY. I'm happy playing neocron as it is now, I rather see a less buggy, FRE free, better running game, then a rushed product. September 1st leaves plenty of time for KK to do their job, not really a rush to put the product out on the market.Quote:

relating to the error files:
mine all have problems with sound files and bsp map files, particulally the subway. this is a pain, it keeps corrupting itself and 1/3 times i zone into the subway i lose that character until if managed to restore the file from a backup.

And my wife and I will be among them, leveling pleasantly and enjoying the lack of griefers... Unless of course we are in the closed beta. Back in the original open beta we had a blast so I definitely hope we can get it on this one to...Quote:

The problem is, Seven, that while you do not prefer silence, others do...especially if the non-silence means bad news.

Alrighty, here's my little opinion on the matter in the odd event anyone cares.
1. The delay will be tolerable provided we'll still get a large patch or two or three, in order to keep the playerbase interested.
2. People complaining about the proposed "major graphics" update need to remember that none of us ever really played this game for the graphics. Something tells me that properly beta testing this is going to require a large playerbase (at least 1/2 of the current server pop on Saturn). Not only will you need that many players to properly test things, the nature of the game requires a minimum of 150 players online to function like it should. The more the better as well. One must remember that beta testing the game isn't just about numbers, figures, and bugs, but also whether the game itself is an enjoyable experience when playing normally.
5. Those of us who are frustrated with the delay can simply take a break and play something else in the meantime, rather than spout swear words which are unproductive and unchanging to the situation at all.

Why are you guys so hell bent on seeing your files? As Odin said it's just a listing of edited posts by you. You could easily copy paste your own text every time you post in the forum and you'd have the same thing they keep on the forum. It's not like they dig up dirt on us and such... or at least I don't think they do ; ) Time for the conspiracy theorists to come out and play!
You know, I'm pretty sure Martin didn't wake up this morning and go "I'm going to piss off people in the forum by announcing BDoY's release date."
The later than expected release date is disappointing to many, including myself. But it's not the end of the world, and when Sept. 1 rolls around and it is released, I'll be buying it. And quite honestly, I am glad Martin decided to at least tell us now, rather than wait until mid-June.
This thread has perhaps produced the most user bans and mod edits than any other thread I have seen on the forums. It was interesting for the first few pages, funny for the next few, and just plain stupid after that.
I would sincerely hope that KK is planning on some new content in NC before the release...otherwise it is going to be a long summer.
Cheer up folks...barring natural disasters, we now have a hard release date!
BTW KK...I am available for that closed beta test :D
