If they gave me my purple suit back I'd play more.
Tankocron was when the game was at its most balanced in my honest opinion. Tanks are meant to be bred for combat so it makes sense that they would be the best class for combat.
I wouldn't be averse to having a class which was more "pvp friendly" to let newer players get to grips with the aiming and general pvp of the game, provided that the game mechanics were altered to allow for some form of recompense to the other 3 classes.
I mean tanks you cant really go wrong with in the current class system, ok they cant tradeskill but theyre not difficult to set up even for the greenest player.
I would just like to see some form of clear definition within the framework of the game as to what can beat what at pvp. Even if that meant ditching some classes to go for a rock paper scissors type of affair in terms of class balance.
This would be a better start than having the current mish mash of everyone drugging to do everything.
I would strip the game back to its basics (possibly even the removal of PPU's and drugs to start with) and then try to gain balance from there. When you start adding a PPU to the mix and his buffs and then the drugs you can take on top of that it begins to create statistical nightmares for the devs to try to retain that balance.
Don't get me wrong I am not advocating removing drugs and PPU's from the game (theyre my 2 favourite things in nc) but for the short term they should be removed from the equation in order to clearly achieve said objective.
Also I want A LOT of non-combat customisation. Like seriously they should devote a whole team to it. Hell I'd volunteer to be a part of the team if they would let people outside KK contribute ideas and stuff to this end of the game and then have some artists draw and plan the stuff we came up with.
These are the things that made nc great and these are the things that brought us all back after rage quitting the nth time we got beaten at cycrow....
I love this game and everything in it, old friends, old enemies and even new friends we have yet to meet and shoot at. I just don't want to see it fall on its arse before it has even started.
A couple of thousand players in game terms would be amazing. I don't know the financial breakdown or the economics of running a games company but I would guess its not a bad start. Even if they put advertising in game (i think nobbys thread suggested it a while back) then id be happy with that if it brought more money in and more people.
