This looks like it is gonna be fun, now to get to work...
Me and my m8 both have problems transfering our Mercury Chars,
will there be a fix for this in place sometime? Or, if they are "currupt", should we forget them?

the data is corrupt because it was beyond repairing.
Corrupt data is lost unless you got it backuped or got something running with parity info and file journals.
(Original) Neocron doesnt use any parity info or checks for consistency in its Database.

So.. i installed NCE today .... patched retail up to 241 (if i chose NCE 2.3 Testserver in Launcher and try to patch or lanuch it does nothing ... so i launch "retail" and i have one server to choose Titan, logged in created char, get out from MC5 .. logged off. Now is a test server down "Vendeen" or smt like that ? or i'm doing something wrong ? (wanted to transfers my Terra chars to test server to see if there is a point to transfer one of them to retail server.

Never mind, I found him. For those curious, he is a guy named Cypher in plaza 1 sitting at a table at the restaurant at the top of the energy tube elevator thingy.
The quest is really simple, go to the "electric vibes" club by the outzone subway station, talk to the guy there, then talk to the rest of the people you meet after.
Test your transfer chars on test server, what they have in inventory, becasue when i transfered all rare parts i had in inventory transferd with wmy toon, and those were good parts lol :D (reported that bug in other thread)Quote:

You could transfer the character to the Testserver (Vedeena) first to check the inventory, QB etc.

Well its a nice small carrot to get a character back.
This game have during its history have so many sticks instead of carrots which have gotten where it is now. Many blame poor
marketing of the games state but I don't think so.
I doubt I have interest to restore my fortune a 3rd time. 100ds of tech parts, gear, characters, apartments w. furniture and trophys, vehicles removed now twice. Also got some Gold PA:s from event but ofc they are not transferred.
I don't really undestand why and who would it harm to have everything back. I still think the game is one of the best mmos out there but when my progress is wiped its like someone stole from me the effort and time I put into the game.
Do we even have a guarantee that current progress is not wiped?
We don't want to wipe the current server!
We decided to limit the transfered items for several reasons, just to give you two of them:
- We do not want to break/harm the economy any more
- We don't want duped items on the server (don't take it personally!)

There basically is no economy as pretty much no one is playing but wonder what would break the economy so bad that it would affect the game in a more negative way than it currently is? Even if someone had billions of credits and house full of rare gear what would that harm the game more than what its now? The person would get caught and be banned. You don't want to wipe but if in the future some people dupe or exploit something to get something they shouldn't is it the policy that there will be a wipe to protect the economy even if it basically kills the whole player base?
We have offered a character transfer not a copy & paste of the entire server.
Transferring characters from these old (and broken) servers are a very complicated process and restoring appartments would increase the difficulty significant.
So i dug up my old Account. But confused when tried to use it.

First of it lists one character already on Titan, but i am unable to log on it displaying message above. Secondary, stats displayed in characters i used before seem messed up. My main being Sidhardha, which was maxed out (no ceres) melee tank - but it shows minimum stats. Same for other characters.
Edit:
logged in on Vedeena with Sidhardha, and it indeed is naked character with lowest stats with trash in inventory. It has expensive appartment, but no appartment key and nothing on him. Was a tank with Paw of Bear :(
The game economy is like always super broken, there aren't enough money sinks to account for the rampant inflation, if you just start a new character and be very nice to people and get with a clan i'm sure they will fully kit you out from start to cap. Sadly this is what puts a lot of new potential players off, as their is no fun in that getting everything handed to you but their aren't enough players because of that problem with the economy.Quote:
