You didnt stay in Beeston, you stayed in Beeston Rylands - your analogy however is correct.Quote:

Can i just ask those who werent fortunate enough to be born here, what is the attraction with Nottingham? I've seen at least 3 students here in this thread alone. Considering we are supposed to be the arsehole of the country I wonder why so many people seem to like it. If it has anything to do with the 7 girls to one guy thing - thats a myth.
Btw Drib - If you think Nottingham is bad you havent gotten round Loughborough enough - for those who dont know it; think Deliverance.
Cardiff :X
Nottingham has quite a few good metal nights... and its a pretty good Uni for Comp Sci (Jubilee Campus ftw) so thats why I like it.
And Beeston is pretty cheap in comparison to Lenton...
What course you doing FuzzyDuck?
That's nothing. Near Middlesbrough theres little villages one the coast. I always suspected they were full of inbreds. Then, my aunty who's a Sergeant in the Police tells me they had to arrest a man for having sex with his mother, and his witness statement was "what? is that illegal nowadays?"Quote:

I officially live in the inbred capital, Suffolk.. I actually know of a guy who's the result of some inner family loving.
Avoid this area at all costs.

I'm in the shit part of Beeston and that's how I can afford it (the south side). Next term I'll be living in dunkirk though, 3 minute walk into maths/phys building every morning is going to be awesome.
And Lenton is a shithole, and yes it's prices are still more expensive than Beeston, but that's because (as said before) all the trendy students want to live there.
Oh and the appeal of Nottingham is that it's a campus university that's actually clean and tidy. Lots of people who dont want to go to the smelly city unis head to Nottingham.
And lastly.
How many Nottingham Trent students does it take to change a lightbulb?
Just the one, but they get 10 course credits for doing it.
South Manchester.
oh, I just remembered why I came to Nottingham. It's at the forefront of Medical Imaging Physics (notably NMR/MRI [nuclear magnetic resonance/magnetic resonance imaging]) and that quite deeply interests me, I havent been allowed to get into the centre yet, but next year I'll hopefully have a theory project and be allowed to wander around its world leading facility etc etc.
Moved to Littleport near Ely, not a million miles from you about 25 i would say still don't know the area well.Quote:
