lol, honestly KK you can't blame people for being pissed off. Does this loss of chars/items and such = an extra free month or two of neocron 2 for those who stay?

Or at least a refund for a months worth of game time because your servers lost a month's worth of information at a key point in time.

Okay the got a snapshot from 20th that meens, KK got data.
My opinion they rollback to the 5th and merge the XP and the stuff from the snapshot they took the 20th.

Out of intrest how many backups were there?

And how often are they done?

Id be willing to bet most people would cope with 2 hopurs of downtime a day to ensure that DAILY backups are created.

swg backs up their 15 servers in like 40 minutes KK could back up every entire machine they own including OS inside of 10 mins oO

That meens if the secound solution,
2) Keep Saturn running on the backup from September 5th and create a new snapshot. You will lose all progress to your characters since September 5th but will be able to prepare your characters for the transfer to Neocron 2. We should be able to keep Saturn running until Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning and would make the snapshot when closing the server.

That meens I can start level / build / get ready for NC2 already now or should I wait for the pool to end.

ok being online for a while on saturn i see the opinions are VERY divided and it dont matter if the 20th win or the 5th half the server will be SCREWED over that way and they will even tho its NOT their fault

so KK to be fair and u need to be unless half the server is gonna quit

even tho its not intentional it is still ur fault and not the communitys

so i say make it so that every person gets the choice of the screenie or getting a few days to get rdy then make a new screenie

i DONT care how much work this is i really dont cuz its NOt our fault it got screwed up

Sorry to hear about your loss, Saturnians, but I suppose ReaKKtor are at least trying to make amends (even if it isn't fantastic). Start prepping your characters again and hope for the best, ey?
