I think KK's main focus is to get BP off the ground. Considering the issues with lag and the beta, it's tough for them, and I think Neocron is going to see much more neglect (if that's possible).

Which is more plausible: That since that announcement they've been working on NC3 or BP?

Even if Neocron went back to its old payment model would anyone play it anymore? It's been years since we saw new content and lets be honest folks neocron is hugely outdated and buggy. Modern gamers would scoff at our precious game with our lack of iron sights and achievements :rolleyes:

I don't think NC3 is going to be developed and if it was to be more than just a pipe dream, would it be the same neocron we all know and love that is stuck onto the inside of our nostalgia goggles?

I love the current neocron game itself. What I hate is the neglect and horrific treatment of user/subscribers. Getting one patch fixed would gain them a huge truckload of goodwill, but instead they lie to us and then ignore us for a few years.

I agree that with the original gamedesigner gone, nc3 will probably not measure up to the neocron we love to hate, tbh, I just want the anticheat patch and active and properly trained gm's.

Maybe new age idiot kids wouldn't like it but thats cos they would be playing wow screaming *I hit a mob! that makes me the best gamer ever!! time to scream abuse at everybody on every channel for doing 1 less damage than me!*

People who like good games and pvp would love to see neocron 3 with basically the same pvp system but just updated graphics and such. After all there is basically no pvp games around atm except warhammer online which sucks and is action bar based so isn't really pvp anyway.

they said nc3 would be a totally new game, not just updated graphics, which can be good or bad. I just hope it doesn't become as standard as BP (space ship shooter mmo, nothing new or original), but is as innovative as neocron was back in the day.

Indeed, mostly though im just hoping they have a similar combat system and dont do the typical modern day thing and have 10000 classes all of which are imbalanced as hell so they have to spend the rest of the games life balancing them while adding nothing else. 4 classes was completely fine

and ofc I loved the combat, only other game iv found which involves any skill to win fights is BP the rest are all gear dependent, one of my best memories of neocron was being half leveled and beating a capped guy who attacked me just cos he was utter crap. In any other game around today the crap capped guy would have won just cos he had the gear advantage.

Oh and I definitely hope they keep the idea of lots and lots of factions and dont go for this modern crap of *2 factions* meaning 1 always has more people and just slaughters the other...

Actually thinking about it if neocron was released exactly as it was it would be inovative... it had so much stuff the idiots of today haven't thought up, if only KK hadn't screwed up so badly with DOY neocron would probably still be the most popular pvp game about

you might like Global agenda, it doesnt have the open world set, but at least its skill based, not gear based (gear helps, but is far from definitive), I kinda like the "opwar" system it has, not as epic as neocron can be, but much more enjoyable than the current state of neocron

aye iv played ga enjoy it sort of just annoying that all me guildies are capped so iv got to level with randoms who tend to be idiots and run all over dying alone and its just a bit odd how the world is pve and the SC type things are the only pvp (unless theres some other stuff at cap iv not seen yet). If just they made 2 factions with pvp in the open world area it would be much more enjoyable, always use to love the hunting in neocron, wandering about the areas people would often be and attack. Its just not as fun if the only fights are pre set areas where you know theres going to be a team

I check by with this forum about once or twice a year at this point, and I expected to read "NEOCRON SHUTTING DOWN" this time.

Reading this is incredibly welcome news, this was the first MMO I loved, and I'm so glad to see that you're releasing a third one, let's hope this is the charm though!

Also for the love of god please don't call it "Neocron 3", after NC2 the name has become ridiculously tarnished, you'd be better off calling it anything else. (Totally off topic but when are you guys going to get the MMO rights to develop a Blade Runner Universe MMO)

Personally I don't care if its a year between dev posts about it and t takes 10 or 20 years before the game appears, as long as it appears I'll still be a very happy bunny. There are so few pvp games around with open world, they are all either instanced pvp or open world pvp sprinkled on top of a pve game

okay, this is sooooo DAMN great news to read about a reactivation of Neocron, dot 3 this time ;P

I truly got goosebumps when I read the news arcticle from Kirk... remembering all the good times we probably can have them back again in NC.3

Anyways, I just want to send out digital greets your way to the friends, fans `n haters I really had a great time with! Also with the bots splitting and caring much about my threads *grin* oh and the whores at PepperPark for their superb service...

I really miss NC so much. This game remains unique.

Actually I have shitload to do in real.. but still trying to get some time out of this mess and it looks like I am motivated to play NC2.2 again just to get warm for NC.3, no hardcore grinding and searching for the truth, just warmin` up for the next season, hopefully NC.3 ;)

they announced it like a year ago, just a generic concept art that some artist whipped up in an afternoon, looks nice but nothing more solid than the same announcement back when payment was suspended.

we had 100+ runners in NC2 at least on terra, i don't know about the other servers, sometimes on week ends a shy pick of 200+ if lucky!

Yeah - Back in early NC1 it was pretty much always 400-900 per server

I heard about that week, I think it was just after President Obama declared world peace and all the north koreans, iranians and taleban put down their weapons and went back indoors to play nc. Apparently over the course of that weekend hell froze over, GI's all went home to their girlfriends and wives and played nc instead of chattin to them or getting jiggy.... oh and err Dallas won the superbowl....

Yeah maybe you're right your medication aren't making effect you should change the dosage.... 10% up to 20 % by week ends on terra in NC2 wasn't real.... right
