uhm, the point being that they have been incredibly forthcoming in every single case when there was a delay (they have said that the moment they got the incredible boost in funding by the preorders (90% of the preorders were even for the special edition which cost twice as much), they decided to make the game bigger than originally planned, including more content and special technology.
Also, it has been running in alpha for those 2 years, and been in beta for about 6 months I'd say, making incredible progress by each patch. It was given as an example of a gamecompany that is incredibly good at communicating with its customers. I don't know if you have played the game recently or at all keep up with the development, but those things that were considered netcode issues, were in fact solved within 2 weeks after they were discovered (they were hitbox issues), as are about 99% of all bugs. hell, the game runs better in its beta stage than nc ever did, even though it's running on an engine built from scratch by one person in a few years.
