The page that lists their email addresses is here: http://www.neocron.com/index.php?nam...ndex&pageID=31Quote:

Switching topic to the bdoy new features/content:
When I read over the list of bdoy features, I was really excited. There was item after item that would make the game much more fun to play. Even simple things like advanced character modification. Changing facial hair! As I read the list though, I began to realize something. Most of these features are things promised/talked about from a long time ago. They were mostly things Neocron was supposed to have. Other's were common sense features that Neocron should have had. For the most part I felt like I was reading "BDOY: What Neocron should have been"
So while I am excited about BDOY, I am also rather sad that I've wasted so much time/money on an unfinished game only to wait even longer to finnaly get what I originaly payed for. It's kind of bitter sweet, if you know what I mean. I'm glad we're getting these features... but we should have already had most of them. For example, if they removed parashock right now, the community would rejoice. We'd be happy that pvp will hopefuly be more fun, but think about how many we've already lost because it's taken so long to have para removed. If it had been done sooner, maybe the game wouldn't have gone so far down hill. Instead of feeling like we're on a sinking ship hoping we make it to the BDOY rescueboat, we'd be having fun playing neocron. Para of course isn't so important that the entire game balance hangs on it, I'm just using it as an example. If many of the features of BDOY had gone in already, the game as it is would be a lot more enjoyable. We wouldn't have a problem waiting for BDOY.
I can most definitly wait 4 months for new content. I have a lot harder time justifying 4 months to wait for the game to become fun again.
Wow, and to think I read through ALL of this before posting.
All I have to say is.... figures it was pushed back again... lets hope it doesnt happen again.
My account is going to be cancelled before the next payment is made.
Not because of this push back, but because due to real life issues, I can no longer put money into this game.
Will I play again at the expansion release? maybe.
My account by then will of course be deleted and ill have to start off freash.
Lets hope the game is still alive then.
Although I am no longer a paying custumer and soon to have my account cancelled, including my forum account. I still would VERY much like to help test Beyond the Dome of York as I WANT to see this game succed and do whatever I can to help do that.
I havent been able to do anything with the test server because each time I have tried to go on the test server the lom pills are broken and theres no way I was going to level up characters AGAIN.
Too bad, I REALLY want to see this game succed, I want to help polish the expansion.
But I dont think I can now.
Damn real life :(
At any rate, thats all I have to say.
I am very disapointed with the push back of the release again.
@ Carinth: Niddhog said it's bugreport@neocron.com
The problem is it appears they don't want callstacks if it pertains to a FRE problem.
@ Zan: Eh. You'll be back one day, or so I hope.
The files in question for bug reporting would be Error#.log I currently have Error.log through Error4.log in my nc directory. Each is a report of what errors were reported during a given session of NC. They're overwritten when you've had more then 5 crashes. Shadow Dancer and I looked over our logs and noticed that both of us show the majority of our errors are missing sound files. I'm sure those would be very helpful for kk. If they want other logs, they would most likely ask for those too. The callstack.log files in my nc directory appear to be empty. So I have no idea what they're used for. Try opening up your Error.log files though, they make for some interestin reading.
Mine are easily 3/4 sound errors, a few graphic errors, and some script failures.
Hm...
I'd check myself, but since I started FREing since I've been using NLPro, I guess that marks me. :D
((Yes, NLPro does enough alterations to the game if you allow it...))
10T probably doesn't even have a reputation, seeing that nobody as heard of them, so they probably wont care if they get too much flamage.Quote:

2 things. 1) I'm FAR from surprised that they missed Q2 2004. this is KK. I wouldn't be at all surprised if september 1 became Christmas 2004 that later became Q2 2005.
2) disturbs me far more however;
Is this information available upon request? If not, it really needs to be. I don't recall giving my express permission to have such information to be studied or have public information (the original post) be made private (deleted and stored away from my own eyes).Quote:

For a better synopsis with regard to the internet:

Martin, you must understand that people get annoyed because they care about the game. While it doesn’t excuse some of the rude comments, there is a valid foundation for the community’s frustration. It is obvious that you are reluctant to post on the forums because of the often violent backlash but that has to change, You need to remain committed to talking to us and let the mods weed out the few people who cannot control their emotions.
Neocron is a great game. We all put up with the constant crashes, lack of high-end content, and numerous other problems because we like the game that much. Many of us are moving on to other games not because we wish to but because the game is getting stale.
The delay is unfortunate but these things happen. I realize that KK’s limited resources are dedicated to meeting the new deadline but you cannot neglect us entirely for the next 5 months. There are so many things that need improving and are not particularly difficult.
The initial release of Neocron was not properly handled. I am sure you know that and that is why you are using a new publisher this time.
DoY was initially going to be a free expansion released only a few months after the retail launch. I suspect that the DoY was content that KK wanted to be in the initial release but simply was unable to complete in time. That is why it was going to be free.
I think you should consider the September 1 date not as an expansion pack release but as a re-release of the entire game. All of the BDoY logos I have seen emphasize the DoY name and not the Neocron name. The DoY is only one of the 2 opposing empires in the game and if you view the expansion as a re-release of the game then you need to tone down the emphasis on DoY.
If Neocron is going to be successful over the long run, it will be from attracting many new players and not from selling the expansion to the current customer base. Therefore, I suggest you do not charge us for the expansion. Furthermore, begin releasing the BDoY content to us over the next 5 months in regular patches. Let the entire community help you iron out the bugs before the official re-release date. Let’s consider these first 2 years as beta 5 and let’s work together to make sure the game is ready for the tens of thousands of new customers this fall.
Additionally, make sure there is a GM online at all times on all servers. The level of in-game support at the moment borders on nonexistent. Good customer support is an excellent way to let your customers know you appreciate their loyal patronage.
Finally, do not delete people’s characters after 90 days. Let the people who are bored take a break and come back to their accounts. I know people that have left other MMOs for over a year and came back to the game to find everything as they had left it. It only benefits you as people are more likely to come back if their characters are preserved.

Something orange appeared above..
am I going insane ? or did people just lose faith in traditional colours ?
OK so i deal in DPA every day its my job... being a person who deals with that shit.
Seeing as your forum account does not relate to you as an 'individual' but as your 'online persona' only... you have no rights in this instance.
If information is held against your name and personal information (IE Address and shit) then there is a problem.
Before anyone points out that your account information is required to set up a forum account (and therefore your personal details), I already know this. But so long as KK holds that information separate then there is no legal quarrel.
No barrister in my country would even dream of taking this any further than the waste paper basket so please don't argue the toss.
They're more than welcome to keep the proof. however, I want to be able to review it on my own. Personally I would prefer is things that got edited in such manners weren't but instead the post was left to stand and the warning give while the post stays intact. but, of course, is entirely up to the forum owners. What they CAN'T do is take my publicly released material and steal it for themselves, which is what keeping it in record without my abilty to request it does.Quote:

They keep logs of IPs, along with that IP is my identity. if I can prove the material is my own, they have no legal right to keep it from me. By logging it they shoot themselves in the foot.Quote:

A contributor using the online identity of Zeddust began posting defamatory comments about Totalise to the web sites. After complaints from Totalise, Motley Fool and Interactive Investor agreed to remove the offending material but refused to disclose the true identity of Zeddust. The action of the companies in promptly removing the defamatory material is understandable in the wake of the Godfrey v Demon case.
Totalise were unhappy with the refusal to disclose Zeddust's identity and complained to the High Court. The judge ruled that Zeddust’s true identity must be disclosed because the material was clearly defamatory and to allow Zeddust to remain anonymous would mean that people could post anonymous defamatory statements with impunity.
That case sets a precedent countering your post.
yeap...im done with this game for sure now...
it's one thing to maybe announce something once and be a little late on it...but doy was set to release last year...and it's been said that it was done since december...and then it was said second quarter...now we're seeing q3-q4...well...i really cant stand this company anymore...delay after delay...it's gotten way too old by now...
Well ... that was a marathon read ... posts piling up faster than I could finish one page and go to the next.
It certainly proves one thing ... NC is NeoCrack[tm].
News breaks that the new package will be late and the addicts start frothing at the mouth and hysterically riot around the place, verbally stabbing themselves (and selected others) in the face and burning down the ghetto :D
@Maloch: Thank you for the sanity breaks ... I was losing the will to live on some pages.
@Some Others: Calm the fuck down and try and get at least a vague grip on reality.
@Some Other Others: You *do* know you can simply (brace youreselves) NOT PLAY the current version till BDOY is released, right ?
I didn't see MJS say anywhere in this thread that you had to occupy every waking minute between now and 1st September playing (and paying for) NC or you wouldn't be allowed to buy BDOY.
Don't like NC any more ? Don't play NC any more.
It really isn't that hard to grasp, surely ?
Anyway - BDOY delayed ... that's a pity, I guess, but I'm not gonna top myself because of it.
Ok .... I'm gonna walk away and continue playing my Neocron.
In the meantime I'll read a book, play some other games, go out, play my drums, gig with my band, write songs, go see a movie, watch some television, try to get a girlfriend, get pissed on the night on the town etc (ie. living life)
In other words, 2 months delay isn't the end of the world, grow up and deal with it people. There's more to life than fretting over a release date of a computer game.
Heck I won't be able to see Hellboy until September while the rest of the world gets it on DVD by then. Now that's a long wait!! :(

Ok.. So one question answered...
It is only right that we (as monthly subscribed customers) be given answers to BOTH questions.
Awaiting KK's response...
hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahha :o :o :o :o

@Celt: Regarding the DPA nonsense argument ...
If you can't instantly see why the cases you quote as precedents have no bearing on the issue at hand, then by all means feel free to waste your money on a solictor.
Maybe he can point it out to you ... possibly in crayon.
Additionally - you'll feel even sillier when he does some basic research and finds that this server is located in Houston, TX.
Jurisdiction would be a good word to know. ;)
mou..
But kurai, aren't there similar laws in the USA?
And since I'm completely ignorant on this new issue you and Celt are talking about...mind elaborating on why his attempts won't work?
To the people saying: calm down/get a grip/get a life/blah blah blah
We play neocron for fun/escape.
We look forward and anticipate PROMISED content.

Do you expect us to say "oh well, it's 2 extra months for extra goodness"?
I've been paying to beta test the game, all the while waiting for DoY which is always 4 or 5 months away(We promise!) to fix the problems.
You think we should be calm and happy?
YOU are the ones who need to get a grip.

The internet is real(TM!) too.
Sure it's easy to say "it's only TEH INTERWEB!", however some of us, due to work or otherwise spend a lot of time on the internet.
Going to the movies isnt real, if you go see a movie, sit down and see a big splash screen saying "DELAYED UNTIL 01/09/2004, AND WE ARENT SORRY" are you going to laugh and say, it's only two months, and isnt real anyway?
The other charecters you meet on the internet are REAL, so once and for all, stfu with the "get a life" crap, why dont you get a life off the internet and stop bothering those who enjoy it?
Martin, you have a very very loyal and solid community and you have people on this board and in this game that have supported and stood by this game through thick and thin. Why not let this small community of some several thousand people all take part in the closed beta? We will then be "paying beta testers" for the release of BDOY to the world! I think this exclusitivity would smother some of the flames and at the same time this would be a good way to show your appreciation to the community that has stood by your product.
I was initially very upset, but If BDOY delivers all of the features you say it will and especially with the engine and netcode upgrades, i can't argue with a sept 1 deadline.
The community needs to step back and take a look and realize that they want this a very finished product for its release date and not go through another CDV release where it was half assed(pardon the french). I have 2 active accounts and they will be remaining active. You have my money till sept 1 cause i still love playing the game.
I Did tell everyone that it wouldn't come out till after september and i do think martin will put it back yet again dates don't mean a thing. remember guys nearly every promise that has ever been made has been broken.MARTIN
YOU SHOULD GO INTO POLITICS YOU WOULD FIT RIGHT IN . :( :( :( :(

It doesnt matter, the forums were paid for, were they paid for by a US registered company?Quote:

Is the hosting paid for by the same US company?
If you actually had a clue, you would know: It doesnt matter where the host is, it's where the person who created it, and who maintains it is.
If I created a child porn site, hosted it in russia, but put my real name, address and contact details on every page, saying it was by me.
Guess what? Just because it's hosted in russia, it doesnt mean jack shit.
All they have to show is that it was me, in ireland who created or maintained it.
In this case, it is all by ReaKKtor AG, even if one of their employees is in Canada.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I studied law, but I do make a point of keeping up with european internet law, after being "burned" by a scam english game sales site.
Off to bed, dont expect a response until tomorrow morning, if the thread is still open.
glad to see a date set in stone but I dont really agree with the closed beta idea. Its just gonna be a repeat of beta 5, where retail started and you had all these "leet" peepz havin a edge over others. I understand it must be tested by numerous people for hardware issues and what not, but I think either GMs and/or Faction consellors should be the only ones to test it.
On a side note, I notice people always bitchin about the ingame support. But I dont understand where they have all these problems to where they have to constantly contact gm's. Since I started, I only had to contant a gm 2 times and both was back in beta.
How long have we been waiting for now? I was expecting a release within 2 months. 1st sept is just way too late, there will be far better games out by then.
When september comes around whats to stop kk from holding it back again while they continue to sponge off the hangers on that are waiting for doy and when neocron is no longer profitable could'nt they just close down and save themselves the expense of releasing it?
Also whats happening with the new publisher, what sort of game publisher doesnt have a web site? Has anybody heard of this company before?
