the biggest community project to date is probably the tech haven network wiki, and seeing as it is not really associated to this project, after discussing it with whitestuff, I've asked Brammers if it is possible to use a namespace of that wiki for our documentation and showcase efforts. Think that would be nice and neutral for the time being.
brammers wants to know the name for the namespace, I'm proposing ncmod as a descriptive name, as a real name for the project will probably take a few to come up with ;) (plus it has to be typed in front of every link related to the mod on the wiki ;))
Perhaps DMMod would be more suitable, then there's no confusion as to whether it's the deathmatch mod, or a mod for the NC game itself... if that makes sense :confused:
then I'd say SourceMod, since in the end it might not end up being a DM game
or Neocron:Source for now ;) ncsource
ncsource gets my vote. It fits with the Valve formula of updating an old game (i.e. Counter-Strike: Source) so yeah, I'm down with it.Quote:

Neo, of course meaning 'new' while cronus is a reference to the earth or world.

NeoCron stands for a NewTime (It's still the old, wasted world, isn't it?)

I could be wrong, as I read the interview a long long time ago- but I'm pretty sure Cron in neocron is the reference I mentioned.
(With Gaia of course being the earth/world.)

I was looking at names for the project in general.
ncs or neocronsource would seem to be a fine approximation for your purposes.
I am going to start using techhaven wiki for now with the name ncSource, I will make a start at an overview, just so we don't all start doing different things, but afterwards we can of course change the things that don't fit yet, or you guys don't agree to
