if there isnt ALOT of refinements made, and some definate new content added then im sorry to say but its bullshit.

I'm just getting pissed, ive been around since beta 4, played for along time, let my credit card expire and didnt play, come back 5 months later and got charged for the 5 months i was gone! Then they finally bring up pre-release, which usually means its very close to retail (usually setting up publishing by that time!)

but nooo.... just like Tecmo with Dead or Alive Ultimate, " Ohh, we want more time...." atleast tecmo said they are adding alot more features because of the delay.... if MJS doesnt then what else can i say?

Even with Oblit there's chances to kill....low chances, but at least it's part of the game. O_o

-"closed beta test"
-"release date has been agreed upon" and "fixed"
-"important internal tools (e.g. enhanced item- and character tracking to be able to help players in a better fashion than giving them 100k for the loss of items worth 20m)"
-"database software upgrade"

And that's about it. All that shit would not really have been in if it was released in Q2 instead of Q3, save the 2nd and 4th things...but we didn't have a release date that couldn't be bypassed until now, and the database upgrade will be more reliable now because we're now going to be able to stress-test it.

I think that depends on who they pick. Remember, beta for a new game doesn't mean every bug will be fixed.


If they pick a good dedicated team(and maybe even instruct them on what to do?)i'm confident some *good* testing can be done.


I just hope they pick a good team, and not game newbies. No offense. I want to know that as much stuff can be tested as possible. If ANYTHING pvp related gets added in, I hope to god the testers thoroughly test that as well. :D

#1 may be worthless to you, but a shitload of people whined about there being no beta for this. Now what?

#2 and #3 (Edit: meant AREN'T) the same. I think you meant #3 and #4, but looking at the context of where I pulled the individual things from, they are in fact slightly different but heavily related. As I said, the database upgrade is now more reliable with the addition of the internal tools.

Yes you are one of the lucky few who don't fatal much. I typicly login for 2-4 hours on any given day. I will fatal at least once or twice during that time span. Sometimes specific events cause me to fatal, for example withdrawing money from my clan account causes me to fatal almost every time. Checking my mail caused me to crash repeatedly a few days ago, tho the next day I was able to check mail fine. Otherwise it appears to be totaly random. I might be synching between zones, I might be casting a spell, I might be watching mold grow on the wall in plaza3.

The idea of using a counter would be realy great, but I guess honesty wouldn't be certain. Not only is there how many times I fatal, but how many times people I'm talking too suddenly stop responding. Then move again and say "agh damn crash" or "sorry, crashed." It happens all the time, which is why I know my case isn't special.

If mailing error logs is nolonger allowed, how are we supposed to show how often people crash playing this game. Many of us are either from the beta, or just have been playing retail for so long, that we accept crashes as normal. To only crash a couple times in a given session is tolerable, but shouldn't we strive for no crashes at all?

The FRE-crashing should be auto-sent to KK....automated-wise.

XP and numerous products I've seen allow this option...why not?

Currently people send them manually...I'm talking about an automated service, something that can easily sort and stack the FRE problems into similar occurences and such. And if not, just to put them somewhere so when KK can get to it they can look into the FREs...

Edit: I also mean one that doesn't require either us to send or for helpdesk to look at.

so where do i send the logs? :) i'm serious, to where should they be sent? if it's bugs@neocron.com, then i am so emailing them immediately with every crash log i can find. whether they accept and read them or not, it's kind of their job to at least recieve them.

yes, but they still dont want the logs, nothing any third party does will change that, THEY DONT WANT TO FIX IT UNTIL POST DOY! if even then.

im in the same boat, only problem is i played Beta 4 and cant remember crashing 1 single time in the few months i played then.... only started crashing since retail.... and yes i crash ALOT.

It's bugreport@neocron.com. They may not want to see your callstacks but they sure as hell want to fix the bugs. Did you stop to think that maybe the information they require isn't in them?

They havent as yet asked for anything else.

But do tell, what info do they require that's not in callstack(reason for crashing), dxdiag(exact system and driver setup) or d3ddrive.log.

Crashing when you're idling around in plaza is merely irritating, but crashing in the middle of PvP is really fucking annoying, and it's doubly bad as PPU cos it usually means your team dies, or at least has a much harder time of it.

FREs should be crushed without mercy, and I'm not gonna accept "well DX9 should fix it" as an excuse for the next 5 months.
