I've just tested this in a DoY Scout and DoY Observer but it seems that when zoning whilst flying a vehicle my client crashes and I fall out of the vehicle (and promptly die, falling damage hits hard these days).
I've tested it zoning from DRT (G11) to Tesla (G12) and DRT (G11) to Devereaux (F11). It's possible it's just that zone as that's where all my testing has taken place.
I've also had someone else test it and it broke in the same way for them.
