We noticed a problem that caused an outage for people from the States earlier but this looks to be a bit more severe. It appears that the servers are up but not reachable. Naturally we're trying to locate the source of the problem.

Ive just logged onto Fawkes on pluto, and everything he has is missing, except my 4 slot baseball bat, I have no money, no sympathy, no nothing, everything has gone.

If you, you know READ what Nid said it the problems were from a net clog up the servers were running fine all the time and were not disrupted it was infact the internet and if you read some of the other posts you would have also known other internet services were having the same problem so again no fault of KK....this time

Maybe I didnt read the thread because I came to post what happened to me? hmm? Nid's msg was embedded in the middle of a page of posts, how many people will come here, to the forums, to check that? Only a percentage of those in-game actually use the forum.

Regardless of whether or not it was KK's fault - players could not play the game, many people died and lost items, and in their eyes it WAS KK's fault.

Saturn 25 may.. the Oberteam is logged in. ready to level. All weapons are clean. Stamina level up to the max... lots of sigarets and the nesseserie drinks are also waiting..

then the team starts moving to the whoring spot..

after a long sync time we enter the sector we just left on the otherside of it.

the story is just a short impression of the gr8 neocron day we had yesterday. but more and much more strange lag problems where happening.
So lomming was the only thing to do.

Level3 were doing core router upgrades on many of their peer transits last night.

They announced this early & widely amongst affected carriers & ISPs and there were arrangements made for alternative routing.

The drop outs seen would have been the inevitable time taken for BGP sessions to drop and the alternative routes to be picked up.

Someone at KK needs to either read their mail, or give their Level3 account manager a good kick in.

Detailed description of work to be performed:-

Level3 will be adding MD5 authentication to all their internal BGP peering sessions throughout their European network. MD5 authentication will help combat a vulnerability in the TCP protocol.

Expected Customer Impact:-

Level3 will have multiple redundant paths throughout their network, but customers will likely see short periods of routing instabliity whilst Level3 engineers reconfigure BGP sessions.
