View Full Version : Surround Problem
Hey,
As some know it was my birthday yesterday.
(Congrats me in the My Birthday thread not here :p)
And my brother mought me a surround speaker set.
Now I have everything set up properly but I can't get any sound from my two rear speakers, and I Don't know why not.
I have everything plugged in propperly and I have a 6-channel soundcard.
Any help would be appriciated, thanks!
Much regards,
Silent
Hey,
I'm pretty smart aint I?
I got it to work but it aint very loud.
Now I would like to ask does any of you know how I can increase the volume of just the rear speakers?
Thanks,
Silent
Hey,
I shoudn't post so damned fast.
Well anyway, I found the Front/Rear/Center switches in the Controll Panel but those are maxed out now, and the sound still aint very loud.
Any help would be appriciated!

Hey,
Mind me spamming, I hope this wont be taken in the wrong way but
noone can help me.
I just ran this CD which tests all the speakers, well I found out that the rear speakers output non.
I really hope someone can tell me how I activate them.
Usually surround sound cards come with utilities for setting sound levels and balancing.
Also some have a duel mode for the real output, it switches between line out/rear out.
Line out is output at a completely different level to speaker out, so that can cause it to appear quiet.
I'd just recommend installing all utils for it and reading the manual as they are all different.
i havnt got mine working because :( im lazy.
anyways make sure u only have 1 sound card in as they might conflict ;)
Hey,
I read the manuall, it's actually only two pages and it just shows where to connect which wire, I already done this before reading the manuall and everything is set up just fine.
I only have one soundcard so that can not be the problem.
I didn't get any CD brought with the speakers for any drivers or utlities to install so, what other utilities are there to get?
Thanks,
Silent
I mean software and manual for the sound card not the speakers.
If you don't have either you should be able to find them on the manufacturers website.
Hey,
I see what you mean, I'll look in to this now.

Hey,
Well, sometimes being smart is not being smart, you know?
Let me explain, when I start up my computer, I shut down every application in my taskmanager to ease up my CPU.
Bad call.
I closed down my Soundcards little program along with it.
So I decided not to this time and I found some helpfull things.
Even other things I didn't mean to discover, awesome!
I mean to say here, I got it fixed :)
Regards,
Silent
