Recently Lupus has mentioned that he is attempting to create more variety in the damage types done by drones, and the rare drones especially.
Below I will explain my rare drone idea, also, there are images to aid my explanations, including a full back story of the rare, and how it came to be.

The drone is to be TL 116, like the partle nemesis (there are two TL 120 drones) there will now be two TL 116 drones. They have the same requirment of RCL and WPW.
The drone itself is based on the MR support drone, the single firing, homing rocket drone.
The none rare version of this drone, although slightly cumbersome like the Punisher, is extremely satisfying to use, looks great, and gives the prospect of use against vehicles, and turrets.
The rare drone ive thought of, is called "The Hammer" (unsure if that name has been mentioned before, apologies if it has)
The drone will no longer do force/piercing like the standard rocket drones, but will do force and fire dmg, as obviously, the drone's rocket on impact explodes into flames, (Seems reasonable)
Unlike the MR drone, it is practicle against vehicles, turrets, and buffed players due to its duel ammo mode, and force damage, Obviously it wont be anywhere near as effective as the anti vehicle rockets, it is after all a PVP based drone.
Below are images of the drone "info" screen, followed by the back story I have created for the drone, to save KK time if they were to ever implement this drone. I hope very much they do, as it would not only be practicle from us, but far from over powered, as it would remain slow, and unable like the punisher to climb at altitude anything above head hight.

an antivehicle drone would be ub3r alrite, but not so it does damage huge damage to runners aswell, i mean an advanced antivehicle launcher does all of 12 damage to runners while destroying vehicles, cant have it both ways :P

The drone is designed to hurt vehicles, much say like a malediction, or even some of the heavy hitting pistols.
It isnt designed to be like an anti vehicle launcher, as I say, as atm, PN and Mosquito do zero to vehicles, this is just an 'improvement'

Not at all, the MR drone is a single firing rocket, that is homing onto a target, and has no AOE effect.
The drone is for use on single targets, whether vehicle or players.
But because of the dmg type, Force, unlike the mosquito, and PN, which are energy/xray/piercing.
it is obviously going to hit vehicles harder than the drones we have atm, that is its secondry use, its primary use obviously being players, with its secondry damage type.
In no way is it an anti vehicle drone, but it would do "more" dmg than the current drones, which after a full ammo drain, uve hit a rhino for about 2% dmg.

Well, spose it depends how u say it- Perfect, the hammer, or, Perfect Hammer.
Aye, in a sentence context it is "the hammer" and as a droner, its "Perfect hammer" aye sounds better, thanks :D

But droners do:p I dont want shitty PPU parts in the pool, but PPu's need them too. I'd be all for adding another rare drone if the drop rate was kicked up a bit.

Ultimas should be removed? That would mean even less people would have access to nice rares. It would not affect me personally, but half my rares would be very average without ultimas in their slots 8|
Seriously tho, even tho they are useless to some, to others they are a godsend.

Well as that theory stands, much like nono said, I dont want anything in my rare pools apart from drone parts.
OH wait, that wouldnt very fair would it.
Im wanting feedback and suggestions, not short sighted ignorance.
If anyone has any feedback on the storyline I created that would also be great :)

There is a dude the neocron story called Thor cant remember who he was or what he did in it but I doubt he had a hammer though.....
I posted a model of a similar drone at german boards a few times.. would like to use a pvp usable rocket drone :o
but call it "B-52" and not "The-Hammer".. ;)

HAMMER sounds good. I like the idea.
Maybe rare drones shouldn't be blueprintable. But when you construct a rare drone out of rare parts, you get 5 instead of 1. Maybe that will open the market for drone parts...

I would like rare drones implemented through a run, much like the terminator, where u find the relevant parts, and then get it constructed, this becomes ur sole "rare drone"
That begs the question though, 1 run for each rare drone, alot of runs.
It would however unclutter the rare pool for those who dont enjoy rare drone parts unlike myself.
@ maarten, glad u like the name, althought it would be subject to change if KK ever decided to implement it *cough cough* I would however like to see the back story remain the same, as I do feel its very much the flavour of the other rare back storys.
Name it Mjollnir (the name of Thor's hammer).
Oh, and how about a drone to bridge the gap between the PB20 and the PN? Thats like what, 102 to 116???
Make this one 109 or something so we dont get bored silly using the RG1000 and PB20 to level with.

Well, I chose to have the drone as 116, as there are currently 2 drones at 120, making a secondry 116 drone rare would accompany the Particle nemesis.
And if im not mistaken, lupus will change the TL's of the rare drones like he did melee, to make them more balanced, and less of a struggle to "upgrade" to the next weapon choice

Ill have a dig, was when someone mentioned about the gap u have, he said he would look into it.
So its more than likely the gap between the current 102, and 116 tl drones will be filled, so the current 102, is say 109. :)
Which would then lead to PN, and then the new rare ;)
That would be fine. The REAL gap is the one between the RG1000 and the Punisher. Hehe.

v nice idea btw koro id like 2 see more drones about like rockes as u mentioned which does same sorta dmg as moonstriker in the caves and is viable for pvp because punisher in pvp is total wank.
I dont like the idea of making a super drone.

lol @ God, that's not what he's suggesting is it? What's he is suggesting is a drone that has some effectiveness against those 3 issue's not an uber snti-psi, anti-vehicle/turret drone. On the turret side hell the Particle Nem drops most turret's in one launch. But there is a gap that a rare MR drone could cover, it would add spice to the game, without overpowering droner's or detracting from other runner's.
