was online [Saturn] for around 5 minutes before the plug was pulled - I saw no warnings during that time...

There were messages. I saw 4 - maybe there were more.

There was a 4 message "spam" about 30 minutes before the downtime and that was it. If you weren't there during the spam or if you were busy and it scrolled away before you saw it, that is it for you. Overall pretty horribly executed as usual.

i would concurr that there were no messages on saturn. also the announcement on forums must have been put up minutes before the servers were pulled, AND it had the wrong time on it:

"All servers will be down for maintenance at 09:30am GMT for about 30 minutes."

why can't they ever get this right? post at 10.20am GMT that the servers are about to go down an hour ago - oh good, no worries then.

i hope they don't keep doing this kind of thing when BDoY comes out and we get all these new players - we're used to it now, but the newbies are just going to say "fook this".

Lately I get the msg only like 30 minutes before downtime (which can always be found in the calender (http://neocron.jafc.de/calendar.php?) on this forum as well :P). Would be nice if they not only warn long before downtime but also 1 minute before, so more ppl that just got on can shutdown properly and don't have to settle for a mere 100k for their lost inventory or stuff like that.
