Scikar, how do i get them as a grey background?

Ive tried colouring the images background in, that doesnt work.

Ive cut them, pasted them onto a fresh canvas, then u obviously have to flatten it, due to it being adobe.

Why is the background still comming up white?? :mad:

Hmm, it seems to work slightly colouring the background in, not quite tho. :confused: rather have them stand alone like yours

What you want is a transparent background.

Select around your images, cut them and paste onto new transparent background.

I use Gimp, and I just make the background transparent. :)

It leads to a slight problem with the animated ones however - the Dev flame should fade upwards like it does in game but the previous frames show through. I had some help with the para one, but I can't remember who it was who did it. :p

If you want to just colour them in, save a print screen of the forum as a .bmp and use a color picker tool to get the background colour, and just fill with that. You should be able to erase to transparency somewhere though.

The thing is, with adobe, U make the background transparent, then u flatten the image, and it gets rid of its transparency! as if my image still has a white background, even tho it doesnt!!! 8|

By background I mean the background of the layer. You probably have a transparent background but the top layer with the image contains white.

Dono how to set transparent colours in Photoshop, I do know how in PSP though.......

OK its my copy of adobe, its old, IE, adobe 5.0 ill update them saturday when i get my new copy, this one doesnt support transparencys! SHIT THING!

I was in the middle of making them transparent for you, then I realised where you were going wrong.

Use .gif instead of .jpg, gifs can handle transparency, jpgs cannot.

Updated the dev smiley with the forum background colour. Though I would appreciate it if anyone knows how to use transparent backgrounds in animated gifs using Gimp without the previous frames showing through. :)
