Graphics problems

I've just installed Neocron on my Friends Laptop and when you go to Neocron the graphics are all borked and flickering.

Anyone had this before and know how to fix it?

Radeon cards ussualy have bugged textures.
Can't say I know much about Laptop GFX cards though. Check to see what kind of card he's using.

Usual story. Patch windows, patch hardware, update drivers, downgrade drivers, pray to the FRE gods, haxploit the game...whatever it takes.

Or flog the crappy laptop and buy a desktop pc ;) And LCD screens are teh shite.

neocron runs fine on my bro´s laptop (it has a radeon mobile some weird number)


but I can´t remember if he has D3D on or off..

but he´s using nvidia drivers.

I was running NC on a Geforce4 MX420 - sucky card, but it did the job..

It ran fine for about a year, then I started noticing distorted graphics, polygons jumping around the screen.. and also screen freezes (where the game completely halted for 5-10 seconds) sound similar to your problems atall?

In any case, the problem degraded to the point where it'd happen on my desktop, in the end causing complete system failure :(

Reformatted many times, decided in the end that the card must be faulty.
