i am using snagit and i know that the fang movie was recoded using it but when i record neocron the qality is shit. can some one please tell me the set up so i can get the qality like the fang movie :confused:

The Fang movie was shot using a computer than cost about $2000 for the ram alone, and a seperate comp to actually record it.
And they used fraps anyway.

Fang Videos were done with SnagIT

Neocron in Window-Mode and record a portion of the screen ...

window mode let you record it better them fullscreen. i get easy 25 frames on my system spec.
it dosnt look exactly like the fang but i think that about the used codec.

i should try to do it on a 640x480 window instead of the standart 800x600.

I'm recording 25 fps in OP wars with video quality the same as Fangs with Snagit now. It's only like 300 mb or so for one hour of recording. The quality isn't great until you take off the compression later and then it owns.

I have a few duels, 34 min of pp fighting, and one good OP war recorded so far. I'll make a movie in a few weeks.

snagit isnt expensive at all :D

but i cant discuss such matters on a public forum ffcourse

altough its better to have a second computer tape everything on the first computer :) but that can be expensive yeah, if ya dont have the cards and such

Recording the stuff on a second computer is not the best idea

The quality-loss is just too high imho, if you want you can take a look at a test-vid i made

So i basically play NC in 800*600 on the first PC and record everything on the second one ... this video has been done with best available Quality on the TV-Card, then De-Interlaced and coded with - uh - i have no idea, mpeg4 or xvid

Quality ain´t the best as you can see but the FPS is nice ...

I had no time to try SnagIT yet, Drake6k want to share your SnagIT configuration and how you do it and stuff so we can see more videos coming from the NC-Community ?
