Is this some kind of test to see if we read threads before acting? Please choose a better thread title next time. Thread renamed.

Is there some competition of how many times a day you can
name your clan name on the forums or something? the cartel
spam from cartel members is getting annoying.

if u need the card only for playing (not recording/mixing etc) just buy the cheapest one available. Just be sure it supports the 6.1 sound system. And don't buy audigy, at least not its cheapest version cause it's crap and they are cheaper cards out there and there is absolutely no difference in the sound quality (at least u won't hear it).
If u need soundcard for some more serious work with sounds (recording/mixing/editing) go for audigy 2 but the full (platinum, gold, extigy etc) version, it's not the best sound card out there but relatively cheap and with pretty good quality.

Basically, if u need a card only for playing music/vid/games it doesn't matter really, just buy the cheapest one with 6.1 support - the quality of the sound comes in 99% from the speaker systems and not the audio card itself.

SB makes an Audigy Gamer version which I think is a less expensive version of the Audigy II (or something).

should come in around $60US ... I use it on my 4.1 system and it does pretty well ...
