A = % reduction in run speed from parashock
B = Parashcock spell TL*(dmg level/576%)
C = Target's Agility
D = Target's Athletics
A = .5 - ((C+D) - 2B)/100
All examples assume capped damage on the spell. If damage isnt capped, the B variable will be lower than the full tech level.
Example:
Tank has 100 Agility and 100 Athletics. Hit with a capped TL 56 Parashock Halo.
A = .5 - (200 - 112)/100
A = .5 - .88
A = -.38
So a negative 38%... or basically ZERO... reduction in runspeed
Tank has 100 Agility and 100 Athletics. Hit with a capped TL 102 Holy Paralysis.
A = .5 - (200 - 204)/100
A = .5 - -.04
A = .54
54% reduction in runspeed if hit with a capped TL 102 Holy Paralysis.
Tank has 30 Agility and 30 Athletics. Hit with a capped TL3 Parashock Bolt.
A = .5 - (60 - 6)/100
A = .5 - .54
A = -.06
No reduction in runspeed
Tank has 110 Agility and 60 Athletics. Hit with a capped TL 84 Parashock Beam.
A = .5 - (170 - 168)/100
A = .5 - .02
A = .48
48% reduction in runspeed
This can be tweaked, but thats the idea. Basically if Athletics + Agility >= double TL of Parashock spell, spell has no effect.
Thoughts?
PS- Yes, I too would like it removed. But this would be a good way to keep it in AND let it still be useful in PvM AND let it still play a much smaller role in PvP.
