LOMs and those little sub skill points

I have 1 point in WEP. I put it there by accident.

Will a LOM remove it and release that single, or will it fail because it can only remove a minimum of 5 points ?

It will fail. You need at least 5 points to make a LOM work.

Yeah you either have to:

1) wait till you level, put 4 points into it, eat a lom, and get the level back

or

2) Eat a lom for something else, put 4 points into that skill, eat a lom, and get 2 loms worth of exp back.

The second option is only preferrable if you need to lom that point right now or you're already capped.
