when i first started off in this game, i found everything cool and stuff like i would be runing with my noobie spy (first char) into the sewer doing crappy sewer rat missions and getting not much xp and having the time of my life O_o . but in these days all u kids want to power level and kill ppl now, where did the time go to talk to someone and saying "lets gang up on that small tiny sewer rat with are poor stat combat knife"
can u lot remember ur very first char u made?

ahh mine was a long time ago when the Beta was first opened up to the general public.
I didn't know anything about the game mechanics, so ended up putting skills into everything.
Dispite being a spy i put a lot of points into melee, because you needed insane levels to use any gun with your LE in.
Then i put stuff into pistols and rifle.
I constructed, researched, repaired and implanted.
I sucked like hell, but it was great fun :D
Capt. Rik is still my first character but i get bored of killing the same old stuff in an attempt to cap str and con
I'm currently enjoying levelling up my PE
my first char was a hybrid of the era of the hybrids.
still lives in the hollow shell of a PPU. with no items, no implants.. just waiting for an excuse to make a new char in that slot.

i made a Uber hybrid (before monks were overpowered) who hacked, and melee'd id buff up give a warbot a few energy halo's and then use my knife :D

i remember my Melee / heavy tank hehe That was really great fun when exploring the OZ and MB with my RL freinds in a next clan ( one a spy and one a monk). God did we have fun hehe.

High Tech Rifle/Melee/Droner PE.
That went High Tech Pistol PE just after the Lib Nerf(Because specialisation made melee/droner/rifle hard :p).
That went Low-Tech Pistol PE just after the AGL Nerf.
That went Mid-Tech Pistol PE just after the Raygun boost.
That stayed there because he felt he wasn't under or overpowered (RoLH = too good at the time).

Hybrid monk .. I found the game so fun because I didnt know I was palying the most powerful class and I thought protection went def > shelt > blessed def and i only used one .. then a mad copbot nailed me when i got meh new shleter and i was like WTF .. heh the days :D

mine was a smging pistol tank.. it was in beta.. played in jupiter.. then switched to neptune.. and became a heavy weapon / melee tank.. that drugged so much.

My first characyter is the one I have now, hes over a year (real time ) old now. Staryted off as a rifle Gen-Tank though so had 2 LoM, but loved my |337 laser pointer and flashlight modded shotgun =)

I was an apu with poking and repair. I thought I could be an effective monk and poke/repair at the same time. :rolleyes:

Me ol' libby tank before the freezer nerf, he could take on anyone, after it he was as much use as a chocolate teapot :p

My first character was a droning/pistol/research/hacking spy... keep in mind this was in the day before specialization, but uh, yah he still sucked. I had him for about 4 months until I rerolled into the PE I have now.

Started of high tech pistol PE with a lightwand and a baseball bat.
After a while i lommed melee to heavy so that made me a tl 53 plasma pistol/tl19 laser cannon guy
then vehicle/pure pistol

Jack Drake was my first character. I only rerolled him a few months ago cause of faction symp and boredom.
He started as a Melee Private Eye with Hacking and Repair :lol: Went pistols after about two weeks of play and soon after started implanting instead of hacking.
my first char was a hybrid monk by the name of Richard Deckard on Saturn, still got him but these day he just researches for me, his days as a active runner are long over.
was kinda funny having a 2 star char and not having clue what do to, wasnt until i rolled my second monk(the now deseased Ezza)that i got a clue about monks
I was a fully capped PE (pistol/melee/poke) before I found out what a rare was.

i was a monk back in beta4... man i miss those days...
leveling on rats for weeeks getting nowhere, then meet some other
noobies and run off to outzone and level off the hurler there, then
wait for the respawn and go at it again =) it was sooo fun
then i spent like 2 days trying to find a way out of nc (stfu i was a noob)
when i finally found it and exited the city it was like "WHOOOAAAA"
then i got killed and never left the city again :p

fiorst char was a TG monk that I still have and she's still pretty good....was a hybrid, then rolled to PPU, not I think she's an APU....not sure..o_O ..was on saturn. second char is my current Tank on Pluto...a hacking, driving, repairing, recycling, heavy combat/melee combat tank. :p :p :p :p :p :p (seriously......and I still take down chasers with relative ease....don't believe me about the tank I can prove it. :lol: )

Lets see.. my first char was in fact the char i still use, i started as Lucid Dream, a biotech runner, (for the VR apartment of course) and started up as a pistol spy with hacking, eventually got to ~100 hacking base, and decent with pistols and joined The Mafia on pluto, which was diamond (back when we could change factions super easy =) ) for a few reasons i took a break from NC for awhile, (boredom being the main reason) and when i came back, all the ex-mafia members (it broke up while i was gone) joined SynergyXR, which at that time was City Administration, so i switched factions to CA, and joined SynergyXR, at some point SXR switched to Biotech, and here i am, right back where i started in biotech (only now i have a better apartment =) )
i just went on my first account thats my mates and i saw my second char :eek: a driving pe with 100 base tech combat 100 pistol combat 60 vhc 16 rifle combat :wtf: and for buffs he was useing group shelters :p
o yea and he was also dead outside mb :(
My first character was created on day 1 of Beta 4, on the Neptune beta server. He was a PE, and he was in R-Tech with Rhyker, Cams and a few others. I was also in SFC with some Anarchy Online friends, but that disbanded and they formed RPD, and eventually many of those friends got bored and quit the game, which led to me eventually joining R-Tech. When retail came out I started off as a tank on pluto.
My first char was in beta but I am not counting that since never got far with it really. But in retail it was Centuri high tech rifle pe, with me redeemer sniping people from far away to right in front of me :) Also had enough hack to hack outposts, which back then was not as high as I beleive it is now days, I could also drive tanks around and do some implanting.
Those where the days when you could do a lot of things and be good at them aswell.
Im still working on my fist char, a heavy combat PE, sometimes i see comments like...RoFL! a HC PE! N00B!
My first character was a rifle and pistol using pe but back then that wasn't insane.
The pe I play on was my first character ever, had her for a little over a year now.
back in beta 4 a mate and mine made 2 chars he made a hc tank i made a hc pe... he leved soo much faster than me and i just couldnt understand it :)
My first retail char is the tank deacon... melee/hc before the 166 patch then pure hc....
Im proud to say thats hes one of the 10 first chars on pluto :)

Fault was originally a researching/PC spy with NO AGL, tons of END and a little ATL. Oh, he meleed too :) up to a laser blade. o.0
Now I have lommed him to shit and back, but if I take off his research gloves, he can still use and UZI with resser imps in. Fun to go ganking flies every once in a while. LOL

my first char was with the opening in beta4, i choose a monk cause it said that ya better couldnt begin with a monk :P
so i started out and whent hybrid, original monk was a hybridmonk that had more apu then ppu, yust enough ppu to heal and use the first shelter and such, altough i also didnt know that ya could cast shelter and def togheter and such lol :)
it was sooo fun, i played 1 month continues in my bed on my laptop :)
the thing i didnt like tough was that i couldnt use rifles and pistols.... sooo many weapons and most of em i couldnt use :/
recycling chittins whole night long :P
daamn i got owned by that overpowered mutant PHOSPHOR streetrifle soooo much, ya cant imagine :P
i played pluto for full beta4, and yeah, it was fun, EXTREME HELLA DOOPEDYWOOPEDY uncontrolable FUN !!
edit: hobby's: killing aggresor captains to loot there pistols :P
+ the first one that rightclicked got the loot: accesrights didnt exist :P SUPER, got me rich lol
+ do you know how fun it is to start hitting/firing a copbot with 30 noobs :P until he's dead and then all start rightklicking em to loot he's rifle :P daamn i miss that lol, i looted 2 rifles in beta4 :P
My first char was Johnny Bravo, the pinkest constructor in Neocron. I was rather fond of him. Must have been sometime in December 2002 he got made. Made a lot of money on the pink thing, but I decided to reroll when a guy came up to me nd said, " Man, ur not as pink as I thought you would be". It was then I understood that I needed to try something new.
Anyways, he was a little of everything, he was a construct (172 in skill), and switched between rifle and drones and even tried out pistols. I must admit there are times when Iīve wished that I never had deleted him, he was a star. But then, Iron Man would never have come to life.

Hey, my world came crashing down, after all this was what I based my char around.
my 1st char was a pistols PE named Calvin with hardly any pistol skills :p back then i wanted to do it all :D i think my bro deleted him so i made OTIS and u all know the story from there:p :p
BETA ruled. I loved being a noob and exploring everything and finding out about all the game functions. My first real char that I actually lvled was a Rifle/Hacker Spy named Jaden on Neptune. After Neptune went away I moved to Pluto and made my hc/mc/hacking tank named Lorae.
Ooo Neptune stayed alive the longest of all the Beta4 servers.
My first char was a hacker/poker spy on Neptune - also called Zigzag, I decided to make a tank when I was in PP fighting against tanks with their uber RCGs and found a spy did not stand much chance. Made a monk later when they wiped the server.
Beta character. A melee, pistol, constructor, researcher and even a bit of a poker spy.
Best weapons: claw, smg (not sure wich one), 102 constr, forgot how much research and some 50-ish implant.
Seems so wrong now... :)
Every zone was a world of wonders. It felt not good shooting mutants, cyclops in the industrial storage hall were really scary and people were, er, friendly.
My first char was Mauris, though he's nothing like he was in the beginning. He's been rerolled via LoM nearly half a dozen times now, would have been faster to recreate from scratch but I can't bring myself to delete him :p
We (my first clan) all started at the same time, so naturally we did everything wrong. I leveled in the PP1 A&W basement with a special alloy knife until I had enough dex and pc to use my first gun, a storebought Colt Budget. After hitting 1 shot out of a clip and doing 6 damage on an iguana, I decided that I preferred the knife and leveled on that for ages O_o Exploration was a blast. Making that first run to the MB (through the Gravis/Regant swamps with full vegetation detail!), sneaking past firemobs and TG guards in unfamiliar enemy territory to see what was in the Gaya Mines, and the first time I saw the swamp caves. All the while hoping that one of the seemingly infinite New Dawn didn't pop up and shoot me in the back. Ehhh those were the days!

Got my first constructed gun after that, an smg, it was sweet.
My first char, as well as most subsequent ones, was a monk. A friend of mine passed the word about the beta, and we all ended up as FA. We were almost alone in TechHaven, with bugged missions and surrounded by hoverbots :-)
This char goal was to reach Neocron, but after a few days he would have been satisfied just to get a glimpse of the city doors. Eventually he reached it, after countless deaths at the 'hand' of hoverbots and, more often, *** dragonflies. Then he went on killing rats on the sewers, exploring the outzone and wandering around the map.
This character was erased in the Big Nullification preceding the last part of the beta. Those were the Wolf days, where the whole game was about levelling fast and kill and kill and kill before the end of the world :-)
Then came another monk, with hacking and barter. LOL.
Made a fortune at StockX buying 10c shares and selling them much more, buying stuff at the outposts to sell them to some city merchants for a huge profit, trying to hack outposts alone under shelter and heal (not as successfull as some others), recycling chitin to drive a bike and get ejected by it, ...
Those were the days where a monk could be something else than a being walking cannon or shield, and those were fun days.
My first retail char was ... a monk. At that time, the way to level was to kill the priest spawning at the Crahn Cathedral in the outzone (from | to >), then go to the outzone kill some captains and get there gun (> to >>), the to the battledome kill launchers untill getting starred in a week ;-) That was dumb but fun. Of course, there were some other funnier levelling spots. As I am sure there still is.
Then I paired with Clockmaker, a friend of mne, and we went on exploring and hunting. Psi & Droner makes for a fun hunting team.
Then I stopped playing before lom pills were introduced. I still have a few chars that I haven't converted ;-)
I have played for a few days last fall, and I reactivated my account today. All I hope is that my chars haven't been erased, because frankly I see no point in levelling just to get a glimpse of how the game is these days. Anyway, I believe that it will be fun either way ;-)

My first character in beta 4 was a Pistol + Rifle PE, I had a 3 slot fire modded rifle that'd kill a giant rat in 2 shots :D
I also had zero PSI cause I didnt know what it did and didnt want to learn :)
First retail char was Strych9 , on Pluto. He is still around, but not played by me.
Pure PPU from day 1. 100% Int was in construction, and no APU. With the different point releases in retail when they were trying to nerf hybrids I at one point had 100% Int in Psi Use, which made my rank 120/xx *** there for a bit. That was back when people laughed at pure PPUs.
Beta, first char was a generic tank.
my first char was a psi on jupiter, he's still there but useless cause i gave all my stuff away when we moved to pluto =)
I know I was one of the first monks who skilled "exotic psi use" to get damage boost and resurrection, was a lot of fun rezzing peeps :P
..and i was happy when they introduced the lom pills lol, cause my monk was gimped with a lot of willpower =)
Never been the same since clan BETA on Saturn split up, that was fun. :( still have my first char where i had the most fun with, compared to then he changed quite a bit ... and still sucks .
We even managed to hold an OP for a few weeks, not bad for a BT clan ;)
NC is a tad boring now, but i renewed after 6 months and i still log in.
why? :D
hmm my first char was a hybrid monk ...beta 4 start at jupiter...pretty gimped with melee / research and like 10 resists tho lol :)
