Wow, the only times I've seen such high football* scores is when both sides were incompetent...

Oh wait, we're not talking about football*? Nevermind.

robinson used to play League long before he played Union, d000d. ^^

League is faster, more technical. Whereas union is large men running around shouting "GETT OUTTA MAAAH WAAAAY"

etc.

i know, and he went to a more challenging game :) Union made him the best 1v1 player in the world today. (Robinson > shane Williams)

lol: league faster? i think not. Union players have better pace and while possession change is slower, the game moves faster.

What are you guys talking about? The Super Bowl is over, football is done for the year. Only thing to look forward to now is the NBA Finals and the Summer Olympics.

lets not get into this sport vs sport and USA vs UK arguments, its not worth it and its immature. Its really stupid because american football is rugby for pussies, no one in any other country really gives a shit about your crappy sports.

What you call soccer and THE REST OF THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD calls football, by virtue of the fact it centres around people using their feet rather than running at each other and one talented bloke throwing a ball a ridiculous distance (shotputt anyone?).

In the US, the superbowl is more about the crap surrounding it than the actual game. Crass commercialism is more important than the sport. Luckily we remain unsullied by that in the rugby world, we're in it for the passion of the sport, not the ads at half time.

duuuuuude

look

you're like "Let's not get into these arguements cause they're immature"
and then you start the argument by saying that we're all just pussies :(

no need to be all pissy and hate americans just cause someone at some point decided what you call "football" should be called "soccer" here in America...has something to do with the sport played in South America anyways, so it really has NOTHING to do historically with what you call "football"

Beating Scotland isnt hard Englands only real challenge this year will be France, unless Ireland actually get their from back but meh losing to France means we will only beat Scotland Wales and Italy but I doubt England in their present form.

Oh and whats with NFL players wearing armour anyway? Cant take the the pain?

* armour * LOL Look, you play in the NFL without protection and you will die, plain and simple.

You Brits just haven't had enough players die on the field yet to warrant mandatory full body protection. And why is that?

Not playing the game tough enough? Not hitting each other hard enough? Thought you Brits had a tough sport. Nobody getting injured, now that sounds like a walk in the park on a Sunday afternoon doesn't it?

Oh please don't start a " Rugby is harder than American Football " argument. I had enough of that 15 years ago , lets just say the two games are different and leave it at that.

One thing is for sure though , English people do not appreciate the difference between a Rugby tackle and a tackle whilst playing Football. A FB hitting a MLB is like a bloody RTA , if they didn't wear the protection they would die.

One thing that is worrying me is the introduction of body armour , especially head gear , into the world of rugby.

Unless we are careful over the next couple of years, there will be a flood of spinal injuries , as rugby players start to go into tackles leading with their heads with the false security of the head armour.

The same happened in the American game and hopefully our players will be educated properly and learn from the lessons the American athletes had.

I played Rugby during and after i left school, scrum half. Should have stuck at it, I'd have been in the Scotland team by now :(

All in all, I had a broken leg twice, broken wrsit, busted ribs... few more minor injuries. It aint no gentle sport or walk in the park.

Mind you, I still have wicked scars on me back from a boot. Look like claw marks :D

Most of it was my own fault i guess... I'd tackle anyone... even them big front liners that were like 3 times the size of me... height and gurth O_o

(I did make it into Ross And Sutherland squad not long before I had to drop out)

Your English rugby is heading in the same direction that our early American football did.

First its the helmets, then the shoulder padding etc....

Good point about the false sense of security BUT, the protection provides " all out play " and thats the way we like our football over here in the States, that along with the beautiful cheerleaders.
