[OT] RL PA's

hey, im just wonderin if u guys have seen em before.

i was going to make a thread about this a long ass time ago when i was banned.

i live in a military base so i get a special tv channel called Marne TV for the military, and i was flippin thru 1 time and seen some guys interviewing some army dudes in some full out kick ass lookin battle suit things. looked kewl as hell one of them even looked slightly like the spy PA cept it was a shiney dark blue and it was really kik ass dude they had 3 different ones there.

one of them looked like it was for airforce, then other for army and dunno what other was...
airforce one looked kewl, and army one looked kewl, the other jus looked kinda not done o.0 it had like half a helmet >.<...

anyway jus wonderin if anyone has a url to pics of em or anythin cuz they were kewl as hell O_o

They are being debunked because they work on a fuel cell that generate's enough heat to be, well seen from a distance with heat sensitive equipment..



The actual armor's not much diffrent from your standard flak vest, though covering more of the body..

They just take your movment from little switches, move your arm up and you trigger a switch and the arm units in the right places assist untill you let of pressure on the switch and so on..



Currently they are not much good for much, but in five or ten year's they might become usfull as semi mechanised scouts..

The earlyer suit's looked like american football armor just stuck with some extra "cool bits"..... good job he didn't use any of them as a bear would have ripped though it so easy.. Though the one pictured is meant to be bear proof, though I don't think he's yet found a bear willing to test it..

The patent was purchased by a design group in washington state for the sole purpose of making a combat effective armor in a similar style.

bear suit > ak rounds.

Last thing I heard about the real PA's was that if some of the components got damaged (Which is quite likely when used in combat) it usually ended up breaking most of your bones.

Because of that, production was stopped.

I'm not sure if that's still the case, of course.

No, they are very worryed about if somthing goe's wrong it could kill the person using it...


Chances are if you've damaged the armor, the person inside is already hit..
