Is it possible that virus could have infected other programs, which might explain why it says the launcher is infected?

no no no, its all neolaunchers fault.

I just read about this virus and scanned my comp, no virus, no nothing...seems you have had fun in warez sites or something.

Could be a false-positive. What virus checker do you use? Is it any good?

/edit - Ah, after opening my eyes I see you're using Trend Micro software. This company once released a spam blocker that inadvertantly blocked any email containing the letter P (http://www.crn.com/sections/BreakingNews/dailyarchives.asp?ArticleID=42123). :D

None of the NeoLauncher Pro versions i installed yet was infected.

Maybe you got it from another program and it infected NLP?

"This nondestructive, memory-resident file infector drops a copy of the mother virus in the Windows folder, upon execution. It also modifies the registry to enable itself to run at every Windows startup. "

found it here (http://fr.trendmicro-europe.com/consumer/security_info/ve_detail.php?VName=PE_JEEFO.A)

Trend Micro is good for nothing, do your self a favor and dont use it. I deleted mine after it said that i have 30 virus on my comp and i use ZoneAlarm Pro and Norton Antivirus and Norton says that i dont have any virus on my comp. Oh and use Adaware and SpyBot too (i mean both), you could have some registry virus thing or trojan on ur comp. Dont go to those friggin free porn for all sites if you dont want to get your comp messed up. Nearly half of those has somekind of trojan on them...

Aye, it turned out to be a trojan that had infected all EXE's.

Weird thing was, when i ran the initial scan, it only brought up that error message above, so I assumed that was the source.

I am completely wrong tho. Had to reinstall windows/nc, the lot.

Fuck you Bill Gates

Fuck you very much.

Actually, he was referring to the Windows bug/problem that pretty much can allow anyone access to your computer. They fixed it like 2 days ago, and knew about it for about 6 months. This was on all version of windows.

So I agree, fuck you Bill gates.

Of course, this is just assuming that fixing a bug is a matter of flicking a switch. No such thing as code or QA, is there?

Edit: And I knew what he was talking about. I'm simply saying Microsoft is hardly the big evil in all this.

Oh, thank God someone else gets it! I'm not alone in the forum!

Now all I need to do is find an obscure Men In Hats quote...

I use Norton Anti Virus, yeah u got to pay but I kinda like the regular updates and support you get of them guys.
I did use Mcaffee Virus Scan but that was bugged and would lock your computer up everytime u tried to use or look at an over large exe file such as Neocrons Installer.
Maybe my PC was trying to tell me something, like play Neocrack less?........
