The most annoying thing in the world, might just be 700 gb harddisk space getting an index error because of a corrupted install file..

been reconstructing broken data for the last 4 hours.. and so far I´m still only at 5 %.

I´m bored.. I´m broken.. I´m starving.. it´s 4:40 am.. and I can´t sleep.

Can someone please order some pizza ? or something.

Well if you got any links to some sites with comics, games w0tever.. plz post.. I need something to do in this eternity.

Yea..

but however weird it sounds it hit all drives simultaneously :(

got 7 harddrives, and all of them take a hit by this index bug the same time, and forced me to reboot..

It´s 7 % done now......

I got shitloads of websites, install files, "drop off files" im holding for mates.

and it takes a shitload of space reworking movies.. and with 140 gigs installed games. space runs out fast..

everytime i run out of space, i just buy a new harddrive.. and gives the smallest i have to my mom....

got a new harddrive a month ago.. 80 gigs.. brand new, it had a fucked up 0 sector (iirc) had to get a tecno-wizard to come and fixup.

I installed a management program.. but it was corrupted half way through install..

then it rebooted my comp. and i got a message during boot saying that drives : c: ; d: ; e: ; f: ; g: ; h: ; i: ; had index error

and then it asked if i wanted to repair.. and I did..

and then it started. that was 5 hours and 15 minutes ago just about.

actually this was only the second time my computer crashed..

The first time was when I was still running windows 98....

The only time the CPU "crashes" is during boot up from time to time, then I just gotta restart again.

But as soon as I`m in windows.. provided I don´t install fucked up programs, then it´s insanely stable

MSBlaster Worm 3rd edition rebooting my comp.. luckily i got a program to remove it on this one, so i can just network it.. but still..

Getting boring real fast just sitting hour after hour after hour.

Why the XP hate? Assuming your computer can take the memory hogging, I can't think of anything 2000 Pro does better. Faster, not a single crash, better interface... isn't that all you want out of a simple OS?

a) It's FAR slower - up to 42,000 times slower in fact - yes I really mean that. Simple disk access is appalling on XP.
b) It's FAR less stable - the XP shell is the most unreliable buggy POS I've used in the last 20 years.
c) I'm not an 8 year old with learning difficulties and I don't want an OS that was built for one.
d) DRM is evil
e) Media support in XP is so shitty I still have nightmares about it.
